I think it is sad that some folks are taken in by the words of politicians. Remember, the first and formost priority of a politician is to remain a politician. They will say and do anyting to perpetuate their addiction. Some claim to be religious, some claim to "care" for the downtrodden, some claim to be "looking out for you". Sometimes their words are true, but this is only due to a convenient coincidence.

Bill Clinton went to church. Did anyone take his claim of christianity seriously? A very few maybe, but most of us were just mildly disgusted. The bottom line is, regardless of party, race, creed etc. all politicians suffer from the same disease, namely, that of being a politician. Some even started out as humans, but quickly lost all vestiges humanity once they tasted the poison of controlling their fellow human, and growing in strength and stature as a politician.

It is disturbing that Salon would use their claims of being religious to cast shame on the religious. Al Gore, who is argualbly one of the stupidest people alive, claimed to be an intellectual. Did the left leaning press cast scorn on intellectuals because of this? Let the politicians (all of them, democrats, republicans, independents, commies, etc), rot in the hell that they have created, but don't use their lies, which is their very state of being, to associate them with me.

The bottom line is that there are more conservative thinking people in this country than there are liberal thinking people. Many of whom you call "extremists", conservatives call "those who enjoy Lawrence Welk". What has happened to awaken them is: the 60s, taxes (my wife, who is self employed has 52% of her money taken from her), extreme lying and perversion, like that displayed by Clinton, and the general moral bankruptcy of the entire political arena. The more extreme the left becomes (socialism, sexuality, abortion, vitriol toward anyone who disagrees with them - Hey, aren't you-all supposed to be the "tolerant" ones), the more opposition they will feel by right wing "extremists" commonly called Ma and Pa.

Ma and Pa do not think that "Sex And The City", and homosexual marriage are good things. They don't think Clinton's warped (or should I say "compartmentalized") psyche is acceptable. I don't care whether you agree with me or not, or like it or not, THAT'S THE WAY IT IS. Oddly enough, more and more Ma and Pa's are being born and raised everyday. I am one of them. I am 48. I was born close to and raised in the 60's. The sixties stunk. A bunch of monstrously spoiled brats. My two sons will be Pa's, and they are 19 and 20.

What the left really has to fear, are kids raised by divorced/drunk/stoned/irresponsible/morally ambiguous parents, because them damn kids, they's REBELLIN' agin' all that. And then there are those kids who have been taught personal responsibility, not to sex-up their girlfriends at the first chance they get, not to lie, to honor contracts (like marriage), to work hard, and the like. They will be leading the rebellious ones.

My sons are two of them. Alito is one of them.
