Did anyone catch the irony here?

"An Inconvenient Truth" is directed by Davis Guggenheim, a longtime TV director and the producer of HBO's fine western series "Deadwood."

How many times has Gore been described as the title of "HBO's fine western series"? I'm thinkin' O'Hehir knew exactly what he was saying. Pretty funny huh?

People, get a grip! Al Gore is not a scientist! He is a politician! The two entities are diametrically opposed. A scientist seeks truth. A politician uses lies to manufacture "truth", and only seeks reelection. When a person is a confirmed liar (i.e. politician), it becomes impossible to know when he is lying or telling the truth. Does Al Gore actually believe the stuff he is droning on about, or is it just a "so clever it's stupid" or "so stupid it's clever" game to keep his political hopes alive? I assure you that beyond any reasonable doubt, we will never know.

OK, Who is this Lev Raphael guy anyways?

Lev Writes (being shocked, SHOCKED that Salon would disparage his hero ALGORE [inventor of the algore rhythm])

"Here's the author's reply to my complaint which is some pages below and which I sent to him as well:

<<"Goodness. What more do I have to say? That he is, in fact, the second coming of Jesus Christ? I thought it was a rave review. For the record, the phrase he uses in the film (I quote from memory) is, "I spent eight months a year in a small hotel apartment." And there's a black-and-white snap of the place, which looks pretty much like a hotel. What about that is problematic?">>

Okay, let's unpack this defense. I never said in my letter that Gore was blameless or perfect or anything like that. So O'Hehir starts with a gross distortion of my complaint. A dramatic phrase on his part, but mendacious argumentation."

The problem here is, Lev, you slammed O'Hehir, you were wrong, and now you can't admit it.

To AngryDem, the guy who can't see irony when it smacks him in the face:

I wrote "How many times has Gore been described as the title of "HBO's fine western series"? I'm thinkin' O'Hehir knew exactly what he was saying. Pretty funny huh?"

Now, for the slow, angry democrat. HBO's fine western series, which the auther said that the director of Al's slideshow also produced, is called "Deadwood". Al has been described numerous times as "wooden", "dead from the neck up", etc. I pointed out how the author chose the one effort of Al's director that perfectly describes Al: "Deadwood" Ironic, isn't it?

Al the best,

Mine got editor's choice. Did yours? Maybe you were the only one that didn't get it. I thought it was hilarious.

AngryDum says

"Call me when you say something interesting..."

What do you want me to call you?

You sign your posts ROFL, but is that your real name? Huh?

AngryDum also wrote:

"Hey genius - as a general rule, if you feel compelled to explain a joke to your audience, then it probably wasn't as funny as you thought it was in the first place."

I didn't have to explain it to the whole audience, just you.

You're just a... a... ANGRY DUMOCRAT!

Oh, and I'll just bet there are plenty of people that care what I have to say. At least as much as they care about what you have to say. To you I say, Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system. Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help, help! I'm being repressed!

Gore's a ninny,

Original article: Jefferson must go

Must Go?!? You gotta be kidding me!

Coleman Young (mayor of Detroit) was a criminal, well documented from day one, yet he ruled Detroit till he was too old to tell the news people to f*** off. Now Detroit has the "first hip-hop mayor" who is set to make Young look like an amateur. Marion Berry was reelected over and over. Need I say more? Jefferson is small time compared to many.
