Hillary's base
[Read the article: The other 18 million]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Since when have working class voters, feminists or hispanics ever been a part of Senator Clintons base? Clinton served on the board of directors of Wal-Mart despite the company's anti discrimination against women employees which have resulted in a class action lawsuit against Wal-Mart by one million women employees. Feminists in the Democratic party have no more reason to support Clinton then they do to support Condoleeza Rice for president. When did Hispanics become a base for Clinton. The NAFTA agreement devastated Mexico's economy and in Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign she denounced her husbands pardon of 16 Puerto Rican nationalists despite the fact that these were political prisoners who had commited no violent acts and who had already served at least 15 years in prison.
Many obama supporters and others criticized Clinton for not withdrawing because her nomination had become statistically improbable since at least Obama's victory in the North Carolina Primary. Also, since when has the working class either white or black been a part of Hillary's base? Her husbands NAFTA agreement was devastating for the working class in the U.S. Obama has done well in mostly white states such as Montana and Oregon. In Oregon Obama won the union vote by a two to one margin and many unions have endorsed Obama. It was Hillary the "populist" who told her husband in 1995 to screw white Southern working class voters. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/16/hillary-clinton-on-workin_n_97017.html
Hillary would not have done so well in the primaries if not for Limbaugh's Operation Chaos which called for Republicans to vote for Hillary in the Democratic Primary in order to keep the Democratic Party divided. The main reason that Clinton probably won in Ohio was the fake memo claiming that Obama was lying about his position on NAFTA which caused many people who opposed NAFTA to vote for Clinton despit Clinton being a long time suppporter of NAFTa. http://eatthestate.org/12-14/DidClintonWin.htm It is also rich for Clinton supporters to accuse obama of ignoring the millions of Democrats who voted for Clinton when previously Clinton had said that super delegates should support her against Obama despite Obama winning more primaries.

Re Wesley Clark
[Read the article: Who will Obama choose as veep? Nope, you're wrong]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Wesley Clark is an unindicted war criminal who presided over the destruction of Yugoslavia's civilian infrastructure in defiance of international law. Also, according to British General Mike Jackson Clark nearly started World War III by threatening a controntation with the Russians after the bombing campaing was over. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/671495.stm

Faludi
[Read the article: Obama's best veep choice]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Why the Swipe at Faludi? She is hardly anti male. She wrote the book Stiffed about the problems facing American men.

Ahmadinejad
[Read the article: McCain on Iran: Bush all over again]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Ahmadinejad never said that he would wipe Israel off the map or that the Holocaust never happened. Many of Irans neighbors such as Israel, Russia, China and Pakistan are already nuclear powers so that a nuclear Iran would be unlikely to change the balance of power in the region to any considerable extent. Also the NIE judged last year that Iran had stopped its nuclear weapons program.

Gun grabbers?
[Read the article: Supreme Court gun ruling could backfire]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What is all this talk about "gun grabbers" trying to take away your guns? Gun Control advocates only want to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, the mentally ill, and children. Even NRA members should agree with that. Most of them aren't trying to outlaw all guns. Another thing is that since the Heller ruling does not incorporate the Second Amendment then the ruling does not apply to the states and only prevents the District of Columbia or the Federal Government from passing gun control legislation.

Gun grabbers?
[Read the article: Supreme Court gun ruling could backfire]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Why are so many posters claiming that gun control advocates want to take away peoples guns? Gun Control groups such as the Brady Campaign do not want to ban all guns, just to keep guns out of the hands of cirminals, and children as well as banning certain types of guns as the saturday Night Special. Also, since the Supreme Court did not incorporate the Second Amendment, the ruling only affects the Federal Governmetn and the District of Columbia and not the states.

Unfair to Olberman
[Read the article: Jesse Helms is not dead]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Olberman's editorials are very similar to the messages Murrow gave on McCarthy and the plight of farm laborers. I wonder what your evidence is that the media is mostly liberal.
Corporate Republicans often support drives against illegal immigrants because they want to discourage labor organizing among them and therefore it is the corporate politicians who are behind the anti-immigrant drive. The immigrant rights movement is allied to labor movement and an attack on one is an attack on both. Immigration would decrease if NAFTA which liberal Democrats oppose was repealed. Moveon is a good way to get involved ina ctivism and has nothing in common with the methods of the Conservative movement. Huckabee is a corporate Republican who wants to wants lower taxes on the wealthy by instituting the FAIR TAX, Perot was the first Welfare Billionaire, and Dobbs is a demagogue. None of them are populist insurgents who deserve liberal support.

[Read the article: Jesse Helms is not dead]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Lind seems to be just as critical of liberals as he is of conservatives.

Clinton not an insurgent
[Read the article: Report: Clinton won't ask to be nominated at convention]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Why are people talking about Clinton as if she had been an insurgent candidate? She was the establishment candidate from the start, Clinton no more deserves the support of feminists then Condoleeza Rice or Margaret Thatcher. If you want to support a women who is running for president then support former Congresswomen Cynthia McKinney who is the candidate of the Green Party and is at least ten times the insurgent Clinton is.
