@ Mike Buzz

"You mean you'd rather be at the mercy of a government monopoly with absolutely no incentive (unlike "for profit corporations") to treat you well?"

Yup. Because I have yet to see a for-profit insurance company with an incentive to treat me well. Their incentive is to MAKE A PROFIT. At all costs.

Also, Mr. Mike and NotOrbitBoy, I'd like to have the CHOICE of a privately-run or government-run insurance company. If you prefer private insurance, fine. But do not deny me my choice of government insurance. Capice???

It's amazing how, amid all this talk about the awfulness of government insurance, none of the Repugs seem to remember that they can keep their lovely private insurance, if that's what they choose. Why is that? Oh, must be because they see a government conspiracy around every corner (unless it's a Repug government, then all is good.)

So, too summarize: Repugs and keep their private insurance. Everybody who wants can get government insurance. You pay for your private insurance, I'll pay for my government insurance.

It's not rocket science, but you guys just don't get it.

The law applies to everyone

Doesn't it?

That's a pretty simple concept.

Yes, what the hell has happened to this country?

Tuesday, September 1, 2009 10:31 AM

Why won't Repugs give us choice?

Chiefpayne wants "reformed" insurance companies.

I want a public option. Why can't we have both? Why, Chiefpayne, are you denying my right to choose?

Oh, I forgot. You must be a Repug. No individual thinking there. Nevermind then.

@ChiefPayne

"It's called a MONOPOLY, RDisdier."

Hahahahahahah. You're talking about the insurance industry, aren't you?

Let me clue you in to insurance companies: They are out to make a buck. And when my health is on the line, I don't want a for-profit entity to make my healthcare decisions,

thankyouverymuch.

Chiefpayne, should you ever lose your job and should you have a pre-existing condition (heaven forbid!), will you be talking about the government taking unfair advantage then?

You'll be begging for Medicare.

But for now, you're healthy or wealthy or both, so none of that is a consideration to you. Repugs = We don't give a crap about anyone but ourselves.

@NotOrbitBoy

And you certainly know about narcissism.

Repugs = Bratty Frat boys and girls who never grew up. But they sure know how to project. LOL.

I have a sickle-shaped birthmark on my ass

OMG. That's proof that Obama is a Communist!

Yo, Glock45

From Glock: "Your [sic] obviously a shining example of a student of the public education system." LOL. And you're a shining example of the uneducated right wing sheep herd. LOL.

Let's see: We have police run by the government. Socialism? Oooo.

We have fire departments run by the government. Oooo, more socialism!

We have a highway system built by the government. Yep, the U.S. of A is a socialist country, all right!

We have a post office run by the government, and they even have competition. Gosh, there goes the criticism about a public option putting the insurance companies out of business.

If the insurance companies can give us better healthcare for less money, then I'll go with the private insurance companies. Unfortunately, I don't believe that will ever be the case.

Rance S: Right on!

It amazes me how the Right in this country fritter away billions for nothing. Cough cough, I mean, for a war that will bring peace to the middle east. Yeah, right. Nothing like invading a country that posed zero threat to us.

And yet, when it comes to paying for something that would actually benefit people, U.S. citizens, like a single-payer health care system, the Right craps in their pants.

Why is that?

Who is Ramesees

and what is he trying to say?

Could he be any more incoherent?

@Haufenmist [sic]

Listen, you great steaming pile of manure, if you really spoke German you would know it's "Misthaufen."

What a MORAN!

O.k., maybe not sexual assault

but an "ickiness" assault for sure.

@ Angela from the center:

I agree with what you're saying.

But consider this: Has Bill Kristol EVER been right?

Always consider the source.

That goes for "Sarah Palin," too. (Her name is in quotes because you all know she did not write that.)

Wonderful article!

And it fits right in with what I've been saying all along:

Repugs = Spoiled bratty Frat boys and girls.

They are never growing up, and they have no wish to grow up.

Truly repugnant.

Here's what I told my Republican brother-in-law:

O.k., Clinton didn't do enough to stop Bin Laden.

But W did NOTHING. He sarcastically said, "Now you've covered your ass" when shown the memo. Then did absolutely NOTHING.

How can a president, an administration act that callously? And how come he's never been called on it?

I wouldn't be so gd upset if he had at least TRIED, you know? Even if he failed to stop everything that happened on 9/11/01, but at least tried, I wouldn't be so upset.

W and his repugnant administration didn't even try.

Original article: Teabaggers can't do math

Glock45

and his senseless posts are PERFECT examples of the kind of people who fall for the Right-spewed hatred.

Multiply him by the 10-20,000 who attended the march and what do you have?

Purgatory.

Original article: It's time to forgive Serena

The Serena flap. . .

. . .sounds like sour grapes to me.

Don't Americans love to see celebrities fall!

@Bra-Jones

"And that they promote the Obama agenda and avoid anything not pro Obama isn't a red flag?"

What universe do you live in? What planet are you on in that special universe?

The MSM "reports" on health care reform -- not giving us much, so that the President has to go on talk shows to spread some NEWS and INFORMATION about health care reform and what it consists of.

I don't rely on the MSM at all anymore. The only agenda the MSM promotes is the Rich People's Agenda.

And pro-Obama? What do you mean by that? Give me examples. Is it because they don't call him a Muslim? Is it because they really, really believe he was born in Hawaii? Is it because they don't think showing a noose in the "O" for Obama is the thing to do? Tell me, Bra-Jones, what do you mean?
