What a shame

". . .our former president would obviously want to do everything they could to keep us safe."

Too bad he decided to go on vacation instead.

William Kristol

Still 100% wrong 100% of the time.

Thursday, April 23, 2009 07:58 AM

What was that supposed to be?

I don't get the point of the esteemed Senator's question.

"Where does oil and gas come from?" -- Isn't that a question that an 8- or 9-year old would ask?

It sounds to me as if he's trying to imply that, if the Arctic was once warm, then global warming/climate change is all good.

And no, he didn't "baffle" the energy secretary.

What a putz.

Seeking a plaintiff

You know, somebody whose head exploded because a group they don't care for got allowed to do something we all take for granted.

Somebody whose marriage broke up because it's just so unfair that fags would actually have some the same rights everybody else does.

Somebody who was going to get married but they are now forced to "live in sin" as a protest against gays getting married.

So many things to snark about in this post

Let's see:

(1) Sen. Specter doesn't seem to be a very enthusiastic Democrat. He's changing parties because his current team is mean and won't help him win.

(2). . ."cost us Republican control of the Senate and cost us 34 federal judges. . ." Yep. He's not a very enthusiastic Democrat.

(3) And then from Chris Chocola: ". . .and less economic freedom" Losing your job, your home. These are the economic freedoms we all cherish.

Palin/Bachmann 2012

Oh please. Oh PLEASE.

Monday, May 4, 2009 10:56 AM

Isn't it funny. . .

. . .that the worst thing Libertyaintfree can say about President Obama is that he's not good without a teleprompter?

I mean, I know it's a bunch of bullcrap, but just think of the previous president. Oh yes, W was well-spoken and erudite, and Obama sounds like a bumbling idiot after listening to W for eight years. LOL!

The crap these Repugs come up with just slays me.

Palin "writing" a book

Because she's already proven she'll do ANYTHING for money.

Original article: Biggest "Idol" upset ever

For you conspiracy theorists

Here are a couple of thoughts:

(1) Yesterday, my friend in South Carolina was telling me how ridiculous it was that all the media down there were making the Idol vote a "Red State/Blue State" kind of thing. I.e., the "normal, Christian, Southern" kid versus the "weird, gay, not-like-us" kid. I'm in Minnesota, so I hadn't heard about that at all.

(2) Last year, I believe the final tally of votes for the final voting show was 42 million (I know it was around that number). This year, the final tally was "close to 1 million."

So, tweenies suddenly voted 50 million more times than last year? Come on.

Original article: Dick Cheney is angry

Kind of pathetic, though, don't you think?

For the eight years Cheney had all the power, you never saw him in public. Now that he's finally been voted out, you see him all the time.

Man, he really misses playing god. Or is it playing the devil?

That's right: investigate Pelosi

Investigate the person who was allegedly told about torture.

But DON'T investigate the people who actually ordered torture.

Repugs: their logic defies words.

Charles K

"Charles Krauthammer is already snarling on Fox News, warning viewers of the possible danger that -- as he put it -- Sotomayor's 'concern for certain ethnicities override justice.'"

. . .and white men are NEVER in danger of putting white men's concerns first.

Original article: How to pronounce Sotomayor

Hey Gringo!

"Hey gringo! Why are you so gung ho to get rid of the chandeliers and blitzkriegs?"

Not to mention Schadenfreude, which is what I feel towards Repugs lately!

Here's upset because she pronounces her name SotomaYOR instead of SotoMAYor? What a putz! (Another foreign word.)

Thursday, May 28, 2009 11:23 AM

What's with this guy?

". . .which is the root of the angst over excessive immigration, bilingual education, official English. . ."

Why can't he use official English? Angst? That's German for fear. Why can't he just say fear?

OMG, he's using a foreign word. Call the police!

Does it matter what the polls say?

After all, Americans voted in Bush/Cheney in 2004. So those are the types of people we're talking about. [weenies, IMHO]

So no, don't pay attention to polls, President Obama. Do what's legal and do what's moral and do what's right.

P.S. I live in Minnesota. I have NO problem with all the detainees being moved right here.

P.P.S. But I don't want them in my bedroom LOL!

Mary Alice Carr: Good for you!

Good for you and good for Keith O, too.

Let Faux News and O'Reilly especially become what they are anyway: A hate-filled outlet that draws only hate-filled people. They don't listen to us anyway. Reason and facts and human decency never get in the way of ratings on those shows.

Screw 'em!

It's Pawlenty

New Deal Democrat says it's because Coleman might want to run for governor.

I think it's because Pawlenty is eyeing a run for President or Vice President. Pawlenty is now trying to make himself look reasonable, after years of vetoing just about everything, not raising taxes (hence causing property taxes to go sky high), etc.

That's why Pawlenty went on T.V. and said he'd certify Franken. (He said it's because it's the law, but when has the law ever stopped Repugs?)

Just my two cents' worth.

What I'd like to say to College Republicans

Where were you the last eight years and how did you enjoy it?

Monday, June 8, 2009 11:17 AM

@ideefixed

Your username says it all, doesn't it?

Tuesday, June 9, 2009 08:28 AM

Should we be quaking in our boots?

"'. . .''to a degree that makes Mr. Clinton's fabled affinity for blacks pale by comparison.'"

Because lord knows, Clinton's affinity for blacks was positively unamerican. And apparently dangerous.

Florida9, love your sentiment.
