"Being fertile is not a medical problem"

I've heard this argument before, and here's what I have to counter it:

Insurance cos pay for all kinds of vaccinations and "preventative medicine." I don't want to say that pregnancy is a disease, but it's a condition some women (all women) want some choice over when it happens to them. Pregnancy is a very serious condition that does serious things to a woman's body/health, not to mention that the result is a new human being to be raised. So it's a huge deal that women want the choice of saying when it should happen to their bodies.

It's not a medical problem, but it's definitely a medical condition with huge consequences. Much bigger consequences than "not being able to get it up." And yet, insurance cos will reimburse men for meds to "get it up." I find the discrepancy there disgusting.

and I would LOVE for Barack to stand in front of the Brandenburger Tor! More power to him!

And believe me, a politician's ego is the last thing I hold again him/her.

Amen to that!

I just don't get the American people. After 8 years of Republican rule, look at the state of the economy, the war in Iraq, the not-much-of-a-defense in Afghanistan, what's happening in Pakistan, what's happening in New Orleans, the state of our civil liberties. . .and on and on.

Look at what's happened to this country. How on earth can McCain have a lead in some states and be down just be a few points in others? It boggles my mind!

The Repugs should be drummed out of D.C., out of the country, if it were possible.

The Republican Party has ZERO credibility at this point, but look at all the Americans still cheering them on.

I just don't get it.

Come on, that one's so obvious! But let me say it anyway:

"Plays dumb? He's not playing."

McCain leading in Georgia, Florida, Alabama.

Hmm. I have a co-worker in Kentucky who swears neither he nor anybody he knows would ever vote for a black man.

Gotta love those southern states.

Of course, there's NO racism in this country.

I read that headline and thought, "Finally, SCOTUS has done something right." Poor delusional me, I thought they'd voted in favor of the little guy and against big money.

I was wrong, of course. Just another undisguised nod to the Rich. Class war? When will Americans wake up? This administration and all its attendants -- Supreme Court justices, in this case -- are waging a blatant class war but nobody seems to notice or care.

Others above have said it well:

would be taking "W" and naming it for something similar to "santorum." It's actually even more appropriate in W's case.

P.S. For those of you who don't know what santorum is, I won't go into it. Just let me say it's not pretty.

Um, I'm German, and let me tell you I did not and do not appreciate American soldiers in my country. Nor did I appreciate French and British soldiers there.

But the point of my letter is this: I believe one of the main reasons we attacked Iraq is to build military bases there. Sorry, in my book, THAT's an atrocity. The U.S. has sunk low, indeed.

I just like the fact that Obama is not letting McCain jerk him around.

I don't want ANYBODY to cut the Repugs and slack.

There's plenty of time, so start from scratch and find someone to replace Johnson.

Also, Johnson has picked losers -- once again, start from scratch.

As opposed to John McCain, whose health AND age are a problem. (Plus many other things too numerous to mention here.)

David Archuleta has been pimped out for most of his life. Who saw that clip of him singing for Kelly Clarkson et al sometime around the first season? He was around 10 years old, and his father was already dragging him around to give him "exposure."

Sorry, but the last thing this kid needs is exposure. He's unbelievably shy and incoherent. Another poster earlier said it best: David A should have been applying to music school or college right now, not auditioning for AI.

Everybody says, "But he's so young." Well, don't you think it would have been way better for him to wait a year or two or three before auditioning for AI? But daddy apparently couldn't take the chance that AI would be cancelled by then, so as soon as the rules allowed, there he was.

You could tell by the way he sang every single song the same that he was way too immature for this. A 20-year-old David A might have been a true winner on AI. This way, not so much.

In the words of our famous Moron-in-Chief:

I don't care how many "unsavory" characters Obama is friends with. Hammer this message over and over into Americans' brains:

What have the Republicans done to this country in the last eight years?
