"Yup, definitely stolen land. The poor Palestinians were just sitting there, and those nasty Israelis just came and took it. The Arab states NEVER attacked Israel. 48? 67?* 73? Those weren't wars, they were, uh, garden parties! That's right! The Syrians wanted to have a picnic in Tel Aviv, their car broke down, so they decided to drive over in a tank. Yeah, that's it!"-- cestmoi123
cestmoi123, the Palestinians were there before European Jews showed up to take over their land starting in the early twentieth century. By 1948 plenty of Palestinian towns and villages were ethnically cleansed. You clearly subscribe to the racist slogan "a land without a people for a people without a land" claiming that the Palestinians did not exist or else you wouldn't be implying the land of Palestine was empty for Israel to be established on it in 1948!
"Ein Vulcan is beyond reason. Jews ate her baby."
-- Electro Robo
Jews did not eat my baby but Zionists destroyed the fertile land where my ancestors had lived happily for countless generations, turned us into refugee and continue to terrorize and imprison my people.
I love America and all it stands for. I hate how Zionists have misled this great country into believing that a country based on ethnic cleansing and racism (My people are viewed as a "demographic threat" by the Government of Israel - Can you deny this?) is actually a democracy!
Funny how it is that when Zionists are faced with facts, they resort to writing nonsense thinking this make the whole thread look like nonsense.
ElectroRobo, I said Israel views all Palestinians, including babies at the moment of their birth in the land where their ancestors have lived for as long as they could remember, as a "demographic threat" (as mentioned by countless Israeli politicians from across the political spectrum). Is this the kind of "democracy" you want to defend?
Sugarman, you have gone completely wacko. What's with "the spawn of moloch"? who is omooex? You clearly live in some kind of freak biblical world of your imagination! As for my IQ, it is completely understandable that you would believe it to be far less than a member of the master race such as yourself.
FYI - I find your archaic views rather disturbing. I think humanity has evolved to the point where most of us believe we have the right to enjoy freedom, equality and the pursuit of happiness. As a supporter of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians to make room for your biblical dream (or should I say nightmare) you clearly believe otherwise.
As mentioned and as you are aware, Israel views all Palestinians, including babies at the moment of their birth in the land where their ancestors have lived for as long as they could remember, as a "demographic threat" (as mentioned by countless Israeli politicians from across the political spectrum).
Here are my questions for you. Hope you have the courage to answer:
1) If you are an American, are you not troubled by this concept of a "demographic threat" (note that a Palestinian does not have to do anything to be considered thus by Israel)?
2) Do you realize that Palestinians are approximately 50% of the people living in the area controlled by Israel (not counting Palestinian refugees who are prevented from returning)?
3)Do you support giving Palestinians the right to vote alongside the Jews?
4) If not, is Israel the kind of "democracy" you want to defend?
I would understand if you don't respond to the questions. After all, it is clear you don't have the answers.
You speak the language of hate and racism of the Jewish settlers and the Israeli right. As LeCastor pointed, you speak of the Arabs using the same terms that Nazis used to refer to Jews.
The Arabs once created a thriving mutli-cultural and diverse civilization that was one of the greatest the world has even known (http://www.islamfortoday.com/hewlettpackard.htm). But even if they didn't they wouldn't have deserved to be driven out of their land and dehumanized by racists like yourself. No one does.
LeCastor,
Sadly there are too many people like Sugarman, especially in the Jewish settlements in the West Bank. They have been supported by all Israeli governments since the occupation of the West Bank. They are the law there and they have guns so you can imagine the reign of terror that their Palestinian neighbors live under. For there to be true reconciliation and peace, Jews who believe in human rights and equality have to stand up to the Sugarmans of the world.
I remember my sense of shock many years ago at my first Jewish friend. He was a liberal and wonderful humanist. But when it came to Israel he was a complete hypocrite and nothing short of a racist in the worst sense of the word. Even when Israeli soldiers murdered Palestinian civilians including children he would always find reasons as to why the soldiers were justified. Over the years I met many more Jews who were Kind of like Natan Sharansky: strong defenders of democracy and human rights, except when it came to Palestinians. Eventually the position on Palestine became my litmus test for whether people were hyporcites or for real. Very few passed.
I hope this new Jewish Lobby is "for real" and is not just another way to soften the image of Israel while the ethnic cleansing of what remains of Palestine continues.
