The Governor did an all right job of reading what was written for her and presenting it to her party's base. Her five minute standing ovation was a little over the top but if not in St. Paul, then where else.

The speech had no substance and just continued the personal attacks begun by the previous two speakers. The message of change rings hollow since the candidate has by his very presence been part of the problem in Washington for the last eight years.

Kos is right, with this choice, the Republicans have painted themselves into a corner. They are toast.

Of course, she was not properly vetted. Does anyone really believe that any competent advisor would allow a Presidential Candidate to chose a running mate that advocates abstinence and has a pregnant teen age daughter?

The Senator has demonstrated an incredible lack of judgement by accepting the dictates of the far right in his party.

The Republicans think that they can do or say anything without being held accountable. They have done just that for the last eight years.

The electorate has been stupid twice, maybe the third time is the charm.

Here is a woman who has four young children including a special needs infant. She is embarking on an exausting sixty day full court press and if she is elected she will have to assume the duties of Vice President Of The United States.

In essence, she is abandoning her children if she takes that job.

There is also no guarantee that she will not become pregnant again. She certainly is not qualifed to hold the highest office in the land and she will be the one if something should happen to the seventy two year old candidate.

Taken together, this is a ridiculos ticket and if they should be successful we could see the Fall of the Roman Empire again- up close.

Joe Biden brings a wealth of experience to the Democratic Ticket. As the former head of the Judiciary Committe he will be invaluable in veting judicial appointees. His Foreign Relatons background will stand him in good stead in a world where there are multiple and complex situations that require the attention of more than one man.

Voters can have confidence that there will be intellegent change, as opposed to four more years of the same, and a continuued loss of personal rights for all of us.

Mr. Kamiya is out of touch with reality. After four years of George W. Bush he was re-elected for four more years. That is the equivalent of watching a football game and calling to make a half time wager. Your bet is based on watching the first thirty minutes of the game and choosing the best team for the second half.

In short, there are millions of stupid people in this country. I believe that the satire that Mr.Kamiya so eloquently defends will never be perceived as such when it is accompanied by so strong a visual statement. I think that posters of the New Yorker cover will be hung in a lot of places as an affirmation of untrue accusations.

The terrible mistake, is publishing something for the very few.
