"The Wire" with NetFlix on a MacBook

Too bad NetFlix is still preventing me from my self-realization as a truly white person. The announcement for NetFlix InstantWatch for Mac is ages old and it's still not possible... And I guess White People Don't Boot Windows (tm)?

Well, that didn't work :-)

Syesha just made it into the next round. But very interesting approach nevertheless.

Try a socializing network!

When I moved to a new area and was looking for some like-minded people I was very lucky to discover a non-profit socializing network called MeetIn. People join for all kinds of reasons: They moved, their friends got married, they're stepping into a new phase in life and looking for new people. People who don't want to do things all by themselves just post an "event", a location, a description, a time and others will join. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and I have done almost 100 fun things (from Canoeing to movie watching) over the past 8 months. During that time I have closer befriended about 5 of the people I got to know, and feel very comfortable around everybody else. I hope it does the same for you.
