Pro- whose life?
Late term abortions? Statistically, they happen rarely and are not something a woman is likely to choose without a very good reason... e.g., to protect her own health and/or life.
The ob/gyn's primary patient is a woman of child-bearing age. Not a fetus or a baby. That's why a pediatrician is also present during a childbirth, or immediately afterwards.
Bebop-o: There are three embroidered lady bugs running up the outside of each of my socks today. Just thought you might want to know...
Tempus: sometimes even when it sounds like Bebop-o is riffing on himself, he might not be... ;~) I just wish I knew how he finds that portal through which he channels the things he does. Or, then again, maybe I don't.
If the race is between Scoop and Dump and Hillary
The country is doomed, but hey, you reap what you sew. -- Chris Sinnard
Not intending to pick on you, specifically, Chris, but WT collects these typos. Some of us are hoping he'll collect enough to do a blog post about them. There have been some really good ones. Frankly, the leavening is often welcome.
See, Kitt, Chris has actually contributed something other than those other attributes... a bit of humor.
Reap what you sow -- or rip what you sew... they both sort of work here. Sewing usually involves some ripping somewhere along the way.
Sorry, but you must have me confused with some other "anonymous," since I have never told any racist jokes of any sort here, or anywhere else. Note my signature is slightly different...
Anonymust
My post wasn't directed at you,
So you can see how I might have been confused?
I understand that the sheer number of anonymouses can be overwhelming... AND confusing. Which is why I made mine more distinctive. Given the surplus, though, you might want to mention the time stamp when you are trying to be specific. It's what we've learned to do here, when we don't want to be misunderstood about who/what/when we are replying to.
I think you have the beginning of a children's story there. Needs some illustrations, though. Too bad Salon's comment box won't permit them. We used to have a lot of fun with images in the comment boxes on Salon's blogs... in the old days, before every one left for greener pastures.
Which reminds me of something I almost posted, but didn't because I didn't want to give offense, but since I did anyway, without even trying, here goes:
What about a cartoon tax? Would it bring in more revenue than either a carbon tax or a carton tax? Any thoughts? Besides the fact that it might balance things out a bit if that SCHIP bill ever passes...
That's one way I think of Glenn's posts (in addition to their being inspiration for debate in the comment threads)... as an important part of the public record. Just like the WSJ, except more accessible, since anyone can bring these pages up on a screen, paid subscriber or not.
Anyone doing research in the next few decades, and wondering how we have come to such an unthinkable pass as this, will find so much of that history right here.
Otoh... The WSJ's historical record (at least for now) is mostly trapped behind that paywall, accessible only by elites with the means (and desire) to pay for it.
I've commented before about the NYTimes before, and I think it also holds true for the WSJ... that until they (both) come clean about their agenda during the Clinton years, we'll never really be able to trust the mainstream media again. Those tiny, baby steps they took as mea culpas re: WMD do not even begin to make amends for all of the misleading stories and deception that have brought us to this precipice.
Except when we're "at war." Paul D's point.
