Deep, Deep Truth
[Read the article: Hillary's team crosses the line]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Truer words were never typed: she could be McCain. Bill said as much; you know, Big Blow Job Bill, the first black republican president. Two patriots in this race, Big Bill said, stifling His Big One for a moment while he spoke: Hillary and Honest John. So, Deep, you hit the nail right on the finger: Hillary, in many ways, might be McCain. She is younger, and smarter, and does have her Bosnia war record to counteract Johnny's POW schtick. The only Rover I can smell on this thread is our favorite quadraped, Shawnie boy, your side kick, your sycophant, your fellow dupe. If you tools are progressives, I'm the queen of fookin' England. Really, I expect better from you, Deep. You're almost always wrong, but at least you approach coherence, something shawnie baby never comes close to. But have a lovely evening, rifling through your thesaurus and reaching, in futility, for the flaccid rocket in your baggy pocket. Kisses, Heywood

[Read the article: Hillary's team crosses the line]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]There's a world of difference, literally, between working with flawed existing treaties, and having claimed responsibility for their creation. You ought to learn to crawl before you claim to be a walker. a petty, limp argument. Her bitchy, scold mode "shame on you' got shelved mighty quick, since it was even less attractive than the rest of her personality profile. Have a lovely evening.

[Read the article: The parent trap]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Absolutely. The best thing you can do is be there. One of the more prevalent fictions is "quality time", as if you can schedule those evanescent moments when your child is most open to you, most available to your counsel (and you to theirs). It can happen at the least expected moment, but it won't if you are not present. You cannot subcontract parenthood, and then be surprised that the 12 year old stranger in your house won't listen to you. You can't pay someone else to be what only you can be: the child's parent.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]As a Vietnam era vet, I deeply sympathize with the way you feel, and I cannot justify what Ms. Clinton did. but, I implore you, there is a difference. The difference is perhaps not as great as we would like, but life is a series of imperfect choices. I will vote for Hillary if it comes to that, and I strongly urge you to do the same. McCane is Bush III. We cannot go down that road. thanks tom

[Read more letters about this article: Here]The bear itself, physically, was innocuous enough. But it had a repertoire of creepy "I like you, do you like me" remarks in a tone of voice that made you anticipate the next question: "would you like to see the back of my van?" It just weirded us all out, so we "lost" the nine volt. Now, it's just a stuffed bear. It wasn't just me; all the adults felt that way.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]anyone around Kate will be long in coming, if at all. Odd, Kate's perspective on being vindicated by history is remarkably like The Decider's view. Trouble is, a lie doesn't turn into the truth any more than a turd turns into a Faberge egg. I hope I fulfilled your prediction, KKKKatey.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I honestly don't know the brand of the bear; my wife's mom bought it for one of our granddaughters. It did have kind of a Chuckie vibe. It's mute now, and it's gonna stay that way.

ineptitude and trivial pursuit
[Read the article: Professor Obama, I presume? ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the klinton kamp is in flames, and its toadies spend the day parsing lecturer v professor. My father was a college professor, but he called himself a teacher. His students called him professor. this ludicrous and childish nit picking is the unmistakable sign of desperation. It is indisputable that Obama has a first rate legal mind, far better than Rodham's. Resume padding is hardly the ground Billary wants to wage her fratricidal war upon. 35 years of experience: let's add it up. Seven years on the board of Wall Mart. Eight years working for an all white corporate law firm. sixteen years being the wife of an executive. Weak. Feeble. Pitiful. And you lackeys want to man up about the distinction between lecturer, adjunct, professor, full professor, or lawn jockey. Idiots. What do you think his students called him? Lecturer Obama? My ass. And yours.

[Read the article: Hillary's team crosses the line]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I agree that their NAFTA positions are almost indistinguishable. The problem for Ms Clinton is that her two mantras are: 35 years of experience; and ready from day one. If you take credit for the 35 years, even if you're gullible enough to grant virtual co-governorship and co-presidency (but never co-dependency!), then you get the whole magilla, good, bad, ugly, triumph and tears. All of it. Thus, if she, perhaps with utter authenticity, says she really didn't like NFTA but couldn't say so, how does this not devalue the 35 year notion? It must. It's of a piece. She has plenty of accomplishments without embellishment. I personally think Chelsea is remarkable, and her parents deserve great credit for raising her in what was, to say the least, a difficult environment. I must, as a Cal man, give her demerits for going to Stan-furd, but I'll let it pass. This is overkill, obviously, but the campaigns need to focus on what each would do, and how they differ from McLame, and not on endless ticky tacky nit picking about trivia. Enough resume parsing, already. We need to get McLame on the defensive, keep him active in the news cycles in a negative (validly so) way, and wear the old bastard out. He must lose.
