[Read the article: Clinton: Wright "would not have been my pastor"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Every candidate selects what they perceive as their strongest qualifications. Hillary has chosen some cherries from a tree that does not exist. Bosnian sniper fire? Peace in Northern Ireland? Children's rights legislation? Not a whit of proof of any of it, and some proof that her versions of things are either mindful fabrications made to show her as a heroine, or misstakements. Yes, statements that were prepared in advance, statements that appeared on her website. But Obama is the one making it all up. How could an objective person arrive at that conclusion? Through Toontown? Obama may be gaming us; hell, he was president of the Harvard Law Review, as prestigious an academic achievement as there exists, so he's smart enough to make it all up. So, we must assume the majority of voters, and delegates, to this point are just plain stupid. Is that a workable premise, Will? Or are you really Won't, won't believe, won't trust, won't vote if you don't get your way, won't get off your ass more than once every four years and expect the country to change for the better by magic? There's a great Richard Scarry book for children called the Please and Thank You Book. Besides the bible, it was probably the best book we ever used in training our four children (all Democrats, all for Obama, two men, two women). One of the characters is Pig WIll and another PIg Won't. PIg Will had a great time, learned a lot, and had fun doing it. PIg Won't pouted and spent a lot of time in his room by himself. Which pig are you?

Poor shawnie the pawn
[Read the article: A boom in Democratic registrations]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]No one gives a rip, in the words of Big Bill and His Big One, what shawn says. It's fun to mock the false pride of a prig. Read his posts, readily available at the end of each of his droppings, and decide for yourself. It's still, supposedly, a free country. do you think idiots weren't shouted down at Picadilly Circus or Boston Commons? Read some history. You know: things that happened before last year. Shawn's getting paid by the post, and all the butt lite he can engorge himself on, so pity him not for his drawing fire here, but by the inherent incoherence and repellence of his steaming fecal posts.

The Only Point, Period
[Read the article: Reid, Pelosi get entangled in the presidential race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Get the fascists out of the white house. increase our margins in both houses of congress. period. that's it. we can have knock down drag out fights behind doors after those warmongering bastards are out. When the air clears, and it will clear, we can see how profound the damage is, the damage they have done, in part, with our complicity. I speak here not only of Hillary's cowardly lion routine on the war vote, but of the spinelessness of the majority of Democrats in Congress. Nancy Pelosi has more balls than Harry Reid. Anyone can see that. But in order to move anything forward- the war, the economy, the environment- any freaking thing at all- we have to be at the reins. If it's Hillary, so be it. Let's roll. But don't hand me the "I'm a Democrat but if she's not the nominee I won't vote for that black power American damning half breed". Bullshit. Grow up. The art of the possible is not often pretty. Read some damned history. Some of the folks on MT. Rushmore were reviled in their own time. Some of our heroes were murdered for their trouble. Ben Franklin warned us. It's time to choose up sides, and, for once, Widdle Georgie Bushit is right: you're either with us or against us. Vote Democratic, top to bottom, or shut the fuggup. Period. That's it. The rest is straw. Parse, squabble, piss and moan, throw things, but, in November, get you and yours to the polls and pull the lever. Otherwise, it's on you and your adolescent petulance. We already know what the crackers are. The time has arrived to find out what WE are.

Madamfauntleroy and KateTex
[Read the article: Reid, Pelosi get entangled in the presidential race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Madam is right. that was over the line. I should not have done it, even though I'd done it once before, wrong is wrong. Not again. Kate, please forgive my thoughtlessness. Getting caught up in the argument is no excuse. I deserve the derision that comes from bad manners and poor judgement. I will endeavor to hone to the vital issues at hand. I am, truly, sorry for what I said. Believe it or not, it is uncharacteristic of me. Mea culpa.

One Apology Is Not Enough
[Read the article: Reid, Pelosi get entangled in the presidential race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Kate, I don't blame you for acting as if you'd been wrong because you have been wronged. It was mean spirited, small, and bitter. I am repulsed by those qualities when I see them in others, and no less so when I find it in myself. I will not defend that post; it is indefensible. If you want this forum restricted to the unfailingly polite, however, I suggest you read, in series, the posts of some of those with whom you share sentiments. They're at least as vile, just less well spoken. If you will not accept two apologies in the space of half an hour, I suppose that means you're without sin. That would make you TexMary. IF so, my homage is long overdue. For the third time, at least, I was utterly and completely wrong, and I am sorry.
