[Read more letters about this article: Here]Neither Michigan nor Florida counts. 55 jurisdictions were given the rules for seating delegates by the DNC. 53 of them followed the rules. Florida and Michigan flouted the rules, and no retroactive wink and nudge is going to absolve them. So, count the angels on the heads of pins, but they don't count either. Hillary is behind by nearly 3/4 of a million votes. That cannot be explained away.

I need not explain to a man of your experience the unlikelihood of that occurring. This is not Truman/Deweyville. All you have to do is look at the upcoming states, make a plausible guess about the results, and go with it. IF she wins all of 'em 65-35, then she's there. Check with Vegas on the odds of that taking place. They'd love to have your money. But give it to Hillary instead. Nothing wrong with a good hardfought race- if you'll pardon the expression "race" after the past few days. tom

Gave a great speech. Nah, just words. Read some history. Lincoln is not alone. The president with longest resume was Nixon. Very much like our friend Dick, whose resume would run pages and pages. TS Eliot was a bank clerk. Genius doesn't need a lot of time inside the beltway, hobnobbing or knobjobbing with lobbyists. Hillary's resume? More time in the senate than Obama, and that's it. You wanna count first lady, or First Minnie Pearl of Arkansas? Thin. Bottom line: he's beaten her by every measure, and will continue to do so. Stick that on your resume.

Or are the rethugs the racists? Pick an enemy. White men? Immigrants? Moslems? Who's the boogie person? Obama? Hillary talks as black as he does, or blacker. Watch her in front of a black audience, droppin' them g's, and just 'a talkin' as down home as kin be. How's this for a novel idea- forget the demographics and look at votes. You know: voters. Americans. Give it a shot. Ignore the plumbing and the paint job. Just count. Take off your shoes if you need to do so. My only mantra is: no republikans in the general election will ever, ever get my vote. Or that of anyone in my family. Put up or shut up.
