Amazing that we chose a nation sitting on a huge pool of oil. It is not the duty of America, or Americans, to rule the world, and to impose upon it our will, as if it were God's will. The original sin is pride. If that isn't pride, I have not one notion what is. Walk through any American city with your eyes open and tell me we have virtue to export. Lies. The war in Iraq was sold on lies, lives on lies, and will continue as long as the lies are explained away by the likes of you, James. It's about money, not truth, or salvation. Hundreds of thousands have died to make Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld rich, and you kneel before them in adoration. How pitiful. Of course Saddam was a beast; we helped create him, and support him, and empower him. When that was no longer expedient, we killed him. The bodies of his sons were displayed like trophies. Does that make you proud, Jimmy Boy? It does not make the Iraqi people one iota more free; it makes hundreds of thousands of them dead. We killed them. Is it the place of America to choose which countries shall be "free"? We might start with our own country, whored out to corporate power and the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about. The gulf between rich and poor in this country grows daily. What are you doing to correct that injustice, oh wise one? Pharisee then, Pharisee now, giving public lip service to God while prostrating yourself before temporal power. No cut and paste volume of Scripture makes you a man of God. You are an apologist for murder and Mammon. Sad. Read Merton's Seeds of Contemplation, or the Immitation of Christ. Dobson and Falwell and the rest of your kind are pimps for power. Jesus does not know you.

But the help comes in spite of you, not because of you. You reek of prejudice, chauvinsim, and self-righteousness. All the Scripture quoting in the world can't mask the fact that you've drunk heavily from the Colorado Springs/Virginia Beach kool-aid. Tell me you're not republikan to the core, and buy every last one of their manifestos. May the Lord have mercy on us both. He will.

You cast judgements like stones, and use biblical passages as camoflage for the fascist agenda most fundamentalists swallow without question. the republikan party depends on you, and you come through, sheep that you are. If you think the Bush policies are pro life and pro family, you're living in a fool's paradise. They lie unceasingly and worship money and power. Pharisees, without a doubt, and you're one with them. I seem to recall a passage in which the Lord warns us of those who practice their piety on streetcorners. He tells us to pray in secret. Bush and his toadies do everything in their considerable power to enrich their friends and push the poor aside (see Katrina, hypocrite). And Iraq is an ongoing abomination, and has absolutely nothing to do with freedom, or charity, or anything other than imperialist exploitation and nonstop murder. You follow blindly, like a good German. Pity. Bliind guide, I think, is the term that best describes you. Get thee behind me.

You and yours want public schools to be fundamentalist madrassas, starting every day for every pupil with requied prayer. What a joke, like the "sanctity of marriage" act. This country cheapens and blasphemes holy matrimony, turns it into a business deal or a tax write off, not a sacrament. Congress, or the President, or any other public official has exactly zero business deciding "sanctity", which, since you're the font of all wisdom, you know means holiness. You are so certain of your myopic belief system, which reduces God to the pages of a book, that you are utterly incapable of thought. The bible is not God; it is a window through which we might see God, if we come to it clear-eyed and free of self-interest. Your agenda is the same tired xenophobic, homophobic, mysogynistic, nationalistic reich wing blather that we've heard for decades. The true gospel is simple and loving and selfless. the republikan agenda is diametrically opposed to all of those things. The test of any poliy is this: does it make people more free or less free. You are so certain of your fundy froth that any question makes you cringe. Love is fearless, and does not ask for anything in return. You and the goosesteppers you associate yourself with deny free will by making moral judgements for the rest of us. You have no such right. the bible is true, and you're in it unde Pharisee. Sad.
