Original article: The happiness gap

Useless article

Yet another Broadsheet article which only serves to further widen the line between men and women. This is all junk theory, based on subjective information.

Who's to say the women interview weren't already unhappy for years at their job? Or the men who were interview saw it as "just a job" and to not let the work pressures get them down, and at the end of the day - it's just a job? And vice versa?

The "hottie tax" doesn't just apply to women. It also applies to the men who care enough about their appearance and so forth. How many men were interviewed with regards to the "hottie tax" ?

You will NOT understand this unless you're black

All you people on the victim's side must clearly not be black people. Because if you were, you'd understand why things happened the way they did.

That white kid knew exactly what he was doing. He knew something like that was very serious, and gleefully went ahead and hung the nooses. It was exactly his choice to make. Nobody forced him to do it. It was clear and cut - a message of war against the Blacks. If you play with matches, you get burned.

If he didn't hang the nooses, none of this would have happened. Am I right?

Be interesting

Watch "The Pick Up Artist". Just download it...and see the male perspective on dating. A bunch of ugly and unattractive nerds get some coaching from Mystery - and you as the viewer see a literal transformation on these guys, from ugly ducklings to guys who look decent, and in some cases from abject losers to fairly handsome dudes.

The key is to BE INTERESTING...to your targets. As long as you can just be interesting - then others will be interested in you. Wear clothing that conveys sexuality - that doesn't mean totally slut it up. Maybe you need a change in social groups. Alpha women tend to enjoy being around a group of less attractive women - why? Because it amplifies how much more attractive they are. Don't be the ugly duckling around the Mother Hen.

Think of some funny stories to talk about to break the ice. Ask questions about the other person. Engage the person. Have some interesting topics ready to talk about when things are looking silent.

Wear clothing that looks good on you - ask someone else to critique, and not just a female friend who might be secretly in competition with you, and sabotaging you behind your back. There's tons of material out there and you just have to devote some time towards it. You don't have to buy the most expensive name-brand makeup. Check out the stores that do walk-in make-up jobs for women, and notice what they're using is not the most expensive stuff, yet it looks amazing with proper and effective application.

Take an inventory of yourself - what do you have? A large bust? Maybe a little bit more full figured? Very thin? It doesn't matter what body type you have. There are always ways to accentuate and take advantage of what you have. Look at the famous actresses around you. Oprah Winfrey, Kelly Ripa...look at them as they are onscreen, and then take a look at how they are without their makeup on. Looks-wise, they're really not so different from any other woman.

10/70/20 rule

Change the policies around a little. They should be something like this:

Top 20% of your performers are handsomely rewarded come raise time. They are patted on the back, given extended vacations and it is made very clear how dearly they are loved by the company for their outstanding work.

Middle 70% are given handshakes, decent raises for the work they've done, and job well done. Keep up the good work.

Bottom 10% are given the pink slip. You're an under-performer, and we don't want you anymore. We can hire two kids fresh out of school, for the amount we're paying you.

Enforce this, and I promise you that you won't be seeing anymore of this office BS.

Original article: Eek, it's Sexy Anna Rexia!

it's Halloween.

When I see that, I see just about spin off of the old-school skeleton costume that's been around for decades.

Nothing new to see here.

Stupid study, same with the article

This is getting a bit out of hand. Where's the mention of the male strippers? We have strippers for both sides. Why always only focus on the women strippers?

It's very simple. These strippers have chosen their profession which happens to pay very good money. Both males and females have figured this out - and cater to their audience, which are - you guessed it - both male and female audiences. No surprise that it's a very good way to make money.

Move along, nothing new to see here.

Easy one

You are good, but your sister is better.

Just accept it for what it is. The only thing you can do is to stop comparing, otherwise it will always bring you down.

Accept this universal truth: No matter how good you are at something, no matter who you are, there will always, be someone better.

The sooner you can accept it, the better.

What's with all the judgement

More than half of you people are judgmental pricks.

He's the father, and it's his kid. Who are you to say what he should do or not do with *his* kid?

There will be those of you who say yeah he's cool. Then there's gonna be the rest who say no you suck as a father, go kill yourself.

Seriously this just goes to show, no matter how you live your life or what you do, there will always be someone who says you're doing it wrong.

I thought I was enjoying life, but the Salon forums tell me I'm not.
