Blame game

I wonder how Bu$hco is going to turn this around and find someway to blame Iran?

Without France, there might not be a USA

Many of these repug dopes don't remember that France provided $20 million to fund our revolt against the British.

Money van

Do they have a van that goes around and hands out money, clothes, food, daycare, etc for the fetuses that are carried to term?

Forget Belguim!

I think this guy's dedication is worth a much better assignment - perhaps some craphole like one of the 'stans - Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan. No Stella Artois there!

Religious voters

"A lot of religious people are going to vote for an Christian man with a stable marriage and a history of serving the community rather than a cross-dressing, adulterous, self-serving, self-righteous clown, regardless of his race or party."

Depends on which religious voters you are talking about. The Religious Right will NOT vote for a Dem unless HE is a white anti-choice, anti-gay preacher.

They will either hold their noses and vote for Guiliani or just stay home.

Oops!

Probably dropped it off in the return slot at Blockbuster instead of the usual porn they watch. Maybe it will show up on YouTube?

Flat tires

Sounds like the old "Straight Talk Express" has turned into the "BS Beltway Local", making stops at Neoconville and the towns of Reichwingnut and Looneytunes. I want a refund on my busfare!

Difference between Gonzo and the Gipper

is that Reagan was an old guy, probably already suffering from Alzheimers, while Gonzales is just a bad liar.

Small percentage of women are size 0

I have worked in retail - high end women's fashion - where customers are more likely to be slimmer than the average American woman. Probably no more than 7% of women are size 2 or smaller and about 20% of those women are NOT naturally that size - they have the emaciated look, dried out hair and skin that are signs of eating disorders.

Doesn't work anymore

"Bush blunders all the time. At one time, people thought, "Gee, he's one of us."

Now we know we don't want "one of us" running the country.

Bush is brilliant!

It's like that fabulous weight-loss program - "I need to get really fat, maybe 300lbs or more. That way it will be easier to get down to a size 4 again!"

It's a good day for McDonalds! Supersize me!

Local markets not elite

Many of the towns where I live (northern NJ) run farmers' marketing during the summer. I have visited several and found that the demographics of the shoppers seem to fit the individual town's demos. I have seen lots of working-class and middle-class folks, elderly and families; not just the "elites".

This area has a diverse ethnic mix and many people come from cultures where they expect to visit a local market for in season produce, not just shop at the big supermarkets.

Also, the local Whole Foods is usually packed, and not just with high-income folks.

GOPers are dopes

I wonder where the US would be without the $20 million and the military support the French provided during the Revolutionary War?

Six weeks is too early

to start buying presents. People should be aware of the number of miscarriages that occur, especially as the age of the parents goes up.

Study is a waste!

Why would they use undergraduate students instead of real hiring managers? What 19 year old ever hired anyone?

Very poor research design.

Scare the kids

Seems like a good idea. If these pre-teens learn about how much "fun" pregnancy and infant care is, especially before they start having sex, it might make them be a bit more careful with their choices.

Here's your Medal of Freedom - bye, bye!

on your way out! Give him his Medal of Freedom and say bye-bye!

Original article: "I stand by Al Gonzales"

(Insert name of incompetant crony here), you're doing a heckuva job!

They had better start measuring Gonzales for his Medal of Freedom, 'cause he's outta here!

Wednesday, May 23, 2007 12:28 PM

Duh!

'doing so might provide "sensitive" and "highly classified" information to the enemy'

Who is the enemy? Democrats, the American people? You got your answer for his lack of compliance right there.

Not a big trend

I don't expect that 60+ women and men starting families is going to be a big trend. This is something only the wealthy can afford - fertilization treatments (doubtful many insurance companies are going to cover for a couple that age). And you need megabucks to live in Saddle River!

Women raise the kids...

"No one cares if some old man fathers a child, but god forbid an older woman have a baby"

is the reason why people don't care if any old guy fathers children. We all know, even with younger fathers, women end up doing the bulk of the child-raising tasks.

Original article: Engendering change

Depends on what you have to start with

Wasn't the male character that Rebecca R. was "transgendered from" a pretty good looking guy? And haven't you ever seen Extreme Makeover? Plastic surgery can work wonders.

Company match for 401(k)is usually a % of base salary; annual bonuses are also a % of base salary.

What "elite" professions?

"Most elite professions do not subject employees to drug tests."

Many, if not most Fortune 500 companies drug test ALL new employees before extending an offer. This includes the new intern or SVP. I know of a recent situation of a VP candidate who had a job offer rescinded because he tested positive for drugs. Base salary was around $200k, sounds pretty "elite" to me.

Idiots

"The sanctity of human life has always been one of our most cherished heritages"

I wonder if they sell cigarettes or rat poison or cleaning liquids? Most of these are not safe for living people, as well as the "unborn".

Genie in a bottle...of whiskey!

I think the Shrub is back on the sauce. He needs to check into rehab - maybe the room next to Lindsay Lohan?

Monday, June 18, 2007 05:02 PM

Who cares if they sound like little girls...they're rich!

I am sure that Britney, Lindsay and Paris will figure it out, or the people who depend on getting paid by them will figure it out - these young women are worth millions - who cares if they sound like "women in charge"!

Try throwing up instead!

"I can see taking one then to reduce the impact of an *occasional* slip off the diet wagon"

I think a quick trip to the loo to vomit after an occasional pigfest is probably a lot easier to do. Better than needing to wear Depends to Thanksgiving dinner.
