  • Better solution than Botox

[Read the article: "WTF" of the day: Botox bridal parties]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I have a safe and more cost-effective solution than coercing Mom and reluctant friends into Botox or boob jobs so they'll look fabulous in your wedding. Hire models instead!

I'm sure there are lots of gorgeous people who could be hired to stand in instead of your wrinkled mother or flat-chested girlfriends at your wedding production extravaganza.

And this frees up friends and family from having to purchase the ugly gowns (that they will NEVER wear again) Bridezilla is surely to have selected - they can come to the wedding as guests and have a good time!

"Women are never going to be treated as 'equal' until we can stop correcting one another for the choices we make."

I don't think anyone cares if the bride or any woman wants to get Botox, liposuction, breast enhancement, tooth implants in preparation for her own wedding or for any reason.

What commenters are noting is the silliness of these women insisting that their mother or bridesmaids submit to these invasive procedures.

I don't think this is any big trend, just a couple of Bridezilla control freaks who are turning their weddings into the 70th Annual Academy Awards ceremony.

The joke is - these are the same women who'll be divorced 3 years from now, probably still paying for the wedding!

  • All natural

[Read the article: Keira Knightley says no to airbrushing her boobs]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Knightley is as skinny as a stick. Few women that thin naturally have D-cups. So she's keeping it real!

  • don't care about female only floors

[Read the article: A floor of one's own]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

how about they have quiet floors - the worst thing about many hotels is the crappy soundproofing - you have to listen to your neighbor's TV, hallway conversations, crying children...

  • say nothing

[Read the article: A friendship with a colleague has gone too far ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

don't embarrass yourself and your colleague by confessing your love. unless you are planning to have an affair - which won't end well as you work together and live in a small town - just keep your feelings to yourself.

If your career is not going where you want it and the only reason you are hanging around is your affection for this co-worker, it's probably time to move on. Maybe he can offer some advice about other opportunities and help you make some connections.

  • Lame!

[Read the article: Between love and madness lies ... Eva Mendes' nipple?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Hmm...advertiser produces a commercial with actress flashing boob and it get banned from US TV - who would have thought this would happen?

Calvin Klein had the edited version for US TV prepared long ago, they never had any expectation that it would air.

  • Why all the hate?

[Read the article: I told my girlfriend a harmless lie ... and now she's sure to find out ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As a previous commenter mentioned, the girlfriend may not even remember or care about the original grandparent story.

Everyone tries to make themselves more interesting or appealing - whether it's wearing makeup, dressy clothes, being more vivacious, cleaning your apartment (even though you are a slob), etc. Everyone expects that and most mature people don't really care if they find out as they get to know you that you sometimes hang out in your sweats or don't keep your house spotless all the time.

They do care if you "forget" to mention current spouses, children that live with you, that you are on parole or under indictment - relationship killers!

  • Let the wife keep her dignity

[Read the article: Should I tell my boyfriend's wife about our affair?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Just to second what some of the previous commenters have said, make sure your reasons for telling the wife are to inform her, not to get revenge on cheating boyfriend or forgiveness from her.

Make an appointment for a phone call, making sure she is free to talk. She doesn't need to be humiliated in public by meeting you, and you should not plan to be any further involved in their lives.

Don't tell your girlfriends, you don't need your dirty laundry all over town. If you must confide in someone, talk with a discreet friend who lives someplace else. I once served as that sounding board for a friend - my only job was to reassure her she had done the right thing - kicking creep to the curb.

A word of caution - if the cheating husband (or wife) have any violent tendancies, make sure you watch your back.

My 7-month old nephew has that same smile...usually after he's just dumped a load in his diaper.

  • @happywash - you said it!

[Read the article: The attention-driven Warren, Book III]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Are we electing a president or a head mullah?

Rev Warren and the Religious Industrial Complex were the winners of this whole debacle. They'll continue to drain taxpayer dollars into their coffers via "faith-based" initiatives and tax exempt mansions.

Hey Obama and the Democratic Party - you've just been punk'd...again.

"Most bariatric physicians agree that CHILDREN should slim down by GROWING INTO THEIR WEIGHT"

Well, unless a 5'0", 354lb 10 year-old is going to "grow" into a 7'0" NFL linebacker, it's not likely she's going to grow into her weight.

Unfortunately, this girl is morbidly obese - she's not chubby or fat. If going to the camp can help her and other kids learn some healthy habits - nutrition & exercise, it can go a long way. Otherwise, we can expect to see her having a heart attack or stroke by age 30.

"all of this pales in comparison to the deal recently offered by my former sister-in-law. She wanted everyone to chip on on a mother-daughter cruise for her and my niece"

What a nut! Since when do you ask relatives to pay for YOUR vacation?

  • Black people get parody

    [Read the article: Blockbuster blackface]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Filosofickle and Clockwork Smurf are right, the reviewer seems not to be getting the parody - most black folks do - no need to protest.

For an interesting take on the minstrel show, check out Spike Lee's outrageous "Bamboozled". A bit uneven, but a scathing "comedy" about African Americans in the entertainment business.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]

"John McCain earned his homes through the hard work, insight and fortitude of his family and himself, and Barack Obama got a special deal from a convicted felon," Romney continued"

If I were Cindy McCain, I wouldn't be too happy my husband considers marrying into MY millions to be hard work. And aren't there a couple of convicted felons in McCain's background, too? Keating 5 anyone? And wasn't Cindy's beer empire amassed due to some past criminal enterprise?
