And there are some that expected Obama to turn it around in what 6 months? Obama was and has always been a centrist. Oh I know the right wing loons yell socialist, communist, yada yada yada...while not once offering any solutions (when's the last time the GOP came up with anything to help the masses? and no, pushing thru tax breaks going to the people who need it the least doesn't count.)
After eight LONG years of cowboy politics that damn near destroyed the country it was so so refreshing to finally get an indiviual who looked and sounded presidential. He's done things which I don't agree with but he's also done things I have agreed with. I wished he were more liberal (Medicare for anyone who wants it. Get out of that shathole Iraq/Afghanistan, rein in those who are too big to fail. Restrict those investments which could bring down the global economy i.e. derivatives. Sorry but if Wall St. has shown us anything they've shown us they have no compunction about destroying the economy for personal gain. The ceo pay should be decided by the stockholders not the board, as everyone sits on everyone elses board which makes for some mighty fine 8,9, and even TEN figure retirement packages. We are living in the robber/baron cycle coupled with the Roaring Twenties. Great for the wealthy not so great for the other 99% of us. When Obama begins to plug one problem left to him by Bush another opens up. After shipping millions and millions of our jobs overseas why are people so angry about no jobs? What did you think was gonna happen after the job market was plundered by the same guys who are earning those 8,9, and TEN figure golden parachute/ retirement packages? The GOP walks around and out of one side of their mouth they yell "government doesn't create jobs" and out of the other side "Obama needs to produce jobs." That's why the GOP is about as worthless as any political party in American history. So many problems and so few solutions coupled with a faction whose only mission is to destroy Obama and do it at any cost.
If the GOP takes the government back it will finish the job it started under King George II, that is to destroy the America that most people over 40 remember from their childhood. We will have a caste system where most will be relegated back to lower middle class, while the lower class will be filled to a point not seen since the robber baron days. The middle/upper middle class filled primarily from merchants and professionals (doctors lawyers accountants etc.) will comprise about 5% of the populace while the upper class, less than 1%, will control well over 50% of the wealth and will receive the lowest tax rate(elimination of the "death tax" capital gains at 10% or less) since the roaring 20's. Even electing Democrats won't mean much as far as change since many of them are just as bought and paid for like the GOP. Not until a Peoples Party is elected, with the masses in mind, will change occur. I can only hope by then the country hasn't been so completely compromised as to be unfixable by the electorate.
Will someone please drop a dime on this cocksuckers head. He is nothing more than a rodent. Without the good ole taxpayers G.S. would be in the same place as Lehman. Maybe a little French revolution is in order. Sharpen the blades..............or leave them dull.
The people with the most money will always win when it comes to the whores that inhabit congress, especially the U.S.Senate. The only thing these clowns understand is if you go against us you will not be re-elected. I do know if we don't get control of this out of control industry that is so vital to the countries well being it will eventually crush our economy with only the very wealthy coming out alive and even they will not like what they see.
If one would look at a reputable history of how Hitler came to power, they'd find the Brown Shirts in the mid thirties would go to poltical meetings and do exactly what the insurance company stooges are currently doing, disrupting the affair so no one can have a discourse about the subject. This is not opinion, it's fact. One thing these people have a hard time handling is that elections have consequences. If you want to keep the same program for your health coverage YOU CAN! As long as you or your employer can afford it.(With premium increases comparable too the past 10 years we'll go from 1 in 6 dollars going to health care to 1 in 3 or 4 dollars going for the same thing.) Since our 30th best healthcare system is already twice as expensive as those "socialist" systems in Europe and Canada and Australia and Japan and New Zealand and ....(you get the picture) you'd think most people would want changes to either give us more for our dollar or pay less dollars for the current level of care we currently get. I have to believe the people I've seen on television crying about "losing their America" have never seen a 30% rate increase in their health insurance premium followed by another 30% increase the next year followed by a 26% increase the next year followed by a cancellation notice the next year because someone got cancer and hey the insurance company is not in business to provide payment for care as they are in business to make a profit. And really isn't that all or part of the real problem.
