Rupert Murdoch did indeed hold a fund raiser for Hillary. Here's the info:

Maybe factcheck should change her name to falsecheck. Are you the one that is pushing the conspiracy theory on the feminist media outlet cityedition,AKA Rosemary Regello?

I have been following opensecrets.org for some time now. Consistently, Hillary has been taking more lobbyist money than any other candidate. Also, some of her votes in Congress have been very disturbing, such as the bankruptcy bill. Why did she vote yes. Ever since that vote, I have lost faith in her.

There gos factcheck spewing her conspiratorial rubbish again. Now Obama is leading in delegates even counting the superdelegates. And according to some pollsters, even with FL and MI, Hillary will have a hard time getting the nomination

Hillary has taken more lobbyist money, according to opensecrets.org. Look at his PAC contributions. PAC = lobbyist. The section you referred to is contributions from PACs and individual donors. Read the section on methodology. It shows that the amounts shown are from individuals. Each individual that gives more than $200 must list their employer. Then that amount is assigned to that business or industry. So if I were to give more than $200 to Obama my contribution would be assigned to that industry and employer. I am NOT a lobbyist. PAC money is from lobbyists and the site clearly shows that what each candidate receives from PAC donors

Every candidate has borrowed words, Obama, Hillary, and McCain. From McCain closing his speech with "fired up and ready to go," Obama's "just words," to Hillary using (without permission) Mario Cuomo's "You campaign in poetry, but you govern in prose." Basically, this is a non-issue. Lets talk about some real issues like who's winning on American Idol.

Borrowed words or plagiarism. this argument is pointless. All three candidates, Clinton, Obama, McCain have used "borrowed words" in their campaign speeches. So whether it's borrowed words or plagiarism, all three have been caught in the act.

  • "Borrowed words"

Hillary has "borrowed words" from Mario Cuomo, Obama, and of course hubby Bill. What is interesting is that her campaign wouldn't guarantee that Hillary hasn't lifted someone else's rhetoric without crediting them.

    The Clinton Campaign Just Now...

    February 18, 2008 11:33 AM

In a conference call just now the Clinton campaign would not guarantee that Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, has never used someone else's rhetoric without crediting them.

I asked Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson and Rep. Jim McGovern, D-Mass, if they could assure the public that neither Clinton nor McGovern has ever done what Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, did when he used the rhetoric of Gov. Deval Patrick without footnoting him.

    They would not.

In fact, Wolfson seemed to say it wouldn't be as big a deal if it were discovered that Clinton had "lifted" such language.

"Sen. Clinton is not running on the strength of her rhetoric," Wolfson said.

And your point? Obama "borrowed words" Hillary "borrowed words." They both did it. Are you suggesting that Hillary can do it but Obama can't?

Sorry was watching the debate. I could not find the original article but there are a few articles online about it. Here is one. This article talks about lifting Bill's speech.

She has used Cuomo's "You campaign in poetry, but you govern in prose." Without permission I might add, but I can't find that article. But here is one.

The funny thing is that I originally found it in wikipedia when I was looking up plagiarism, but not it is gone...

The debate was good. I think both candidates performed well. Although, sometimes it was hard to find major differences in their positions.

Your argument is a borderline strawman.
