  • Party of chaos

I'm not sure something else will won'tcome up. I think the democrats have a pretty well-deserved reputation for being

a little chaotic. Since I can't stand authoritarian crap, that's fine with me. Just wish everyone was smarter about MI and FL.

  • And

It was all supposed to be over by February 5th (Super Duper Mega Tsunami Tuesday). That's why FL & MI wanted to go first anyways. Would be nice if some of the larger states got a chance to go first or early. Get a chance to shape opinion like IA or NH.

  • @madam Here comes Mr. Bill and he's going to be mean to me!

I am just trying to make some sense of Bill pimping Hillary out to McCain. Haven't you heard his latest put down?

Well, you seem to be one of few around here with a sense of humor. AKA Smith would be horrified by that comment.

I did see that remark. Is Bill that sloppy, or is he that good? I think he's that good! I've already seen somebody here call it racist. And then somebody like KateTex is going to stop by and tell us how all the Obama supporters are injecting race into the campaign.

The problem with Bill, to paraphrase LBJ, is that he is the type of guy you need inside the tent, pissing out. Right now, he's outside the tent, pissing in.

What it sounds like to me is that when you place Hillary and McCain in this separate place, you make them sound like peas in a pod, and that validates Obama as a different choice. Maybe he's just chumming and it doesn't matter what he says. He just wants plausible deniability when the dustup occurs. He can wag his finger when he says it wasn't me that started it. A sly old dog for sure.

  • @lj Critical Thinking?

[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]

It's amazing to me that most of Obama's followers seem to drop any pretense of critical thinking or honest questions when it comes to Sen. Barack Obama. The minority far left-wing within the minority left-wing of the Democratic Party have done it again: They've hijacked the Party and the good of the majority and the country for the good of a few.

How can the candidate with the majority vote be considered the minority left wing? Implying that they are deluded doesn't seem honest to me. If you want to consider republicans and independents voting for Obama, then how can you consider them far-left? I'm sorry this doesn't really sound like critical thinking to me.

I could say the same thing about most Hillary supporters (at least here):It's amazing to me that most of Hillary's followers seem to drop any pretense of critical thinking or honest questions when it comes to Sen. Hillary Clinton and the mistakes she made during her 2008 campaign. Sounds a little too sweeping to me, huh?

If you want to discuss throwing out votes, why don't we discuss Texas:

AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Democratic Party said Monday it had denied a request by Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign that it take extra steps to verify the signatures of election night caucus-goers before party conventions being held at the end of the month.

State chairman Boyd Richie said Texas Democrats will not "set up an unnecessary, ad hoc 'verification' process that could effectively disqualify delegates selected at their precinct conventions after the fact."

On the one hand, you guys want to tell me Hillary is the battle tested hardnosed experienced realpolitik candidate. On the other hand, she is poor victim Hillary, whose hands are lillywhite, pristine and untainted by politics, a victim, her campaign doomed by unfair sexism, racism, and ageism instead of strategic blunders and staff losers like Mark Penn.

I happen to think she is the former: hard-nosed, experienced Hillary. Both campaigns are campaigning and belly-bumping. Anybody who pretends otherwise is foolish.

  • @madam Bill Again

I confess I don't really know what Bill is up to. I think it must be a helluva thing to be an ex-president, an ex-most-powerful-man-in-the-world. Maybe he's having more fun now wheeling and dealing and doesn't really want to go back to the whitehouse and live in a fishbowl. I also think his timing is off and he is a little stale. He's been dealing with big business types and not retail politics. Maybe they that thought that Back to the Future was enough of a campaign strategy. Maybe they liked the concept more than the public, since they got top billing.

I've been so hoodwinked and bamboolzed (heh) it's hard for me to tell who started what and when with respect to the AA community. I do think the LBJ comment was stupid (have opined at length on same).

I'm sure there will be some pretty big history to be told some time after we're long gone. Interesting times.
