    Google runs an astounding number of computers in their data center, and power is a big chunk of their operating expense. They've obviously spent a lot of time researching the impact of power usage on a data center, and it's also pretty logical for them to start look for their own energy independence.

    The amount and quality of evidence required to convince us to change our minds is proportional to the strength of our belief. That's not news, and it's not a bad thing. In fact, it's the correct behaviour.

    There's even an extremely good and well tested set of mathematical theory and method backing it up. Hello, fellow Bayesians.
