Google runs an astounding number of computers in their data center, and power is a big chunk of their operating expense. They've obviously spent a lot of time researching the impact of power usage on a data center, and it's also pretty logical for them to start look for their own energy independence.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]The amount and quality of evidence required to convince us to change our minds is proportional to the strength of our belief. That's not news, and it's not a bad thing. In fact, it's the correct behaviour.
There's even an extremely good and well tested set of mathematical theory and method backing it up. Hello, fellow Bayesians.
