Who says I was talking about you?
Go f___ yourself.
If only in was physically possible..
Barry Bonds is good.
Never said that. Just sick of hearing about him.
Buckeyes are bad.
Never said that. Just sick of hearing about them. Especially since the haven't won any of the championship games they've been in recently.
Every team should cheat and spy.
You would know:

right?
Sure. We done here?
Are we agreeing with each other that context might matter? Could start a trend...
Once again, as someone has already mentioned, this article was a REVIEW OF A BOX SET!!!
To complain that your favorite wasn't covered or that the article is not in depth enough (someone mentioned exclusion of a German band, in a box set of BritPop for god's sake!!!) completely overlooks the fact that Mr. Reynolds' didn't put the track list together and at 78 tracks, would be hard-pressed to spend more than a sentence on most of the bands represented here.
If volumes of obscure history is what you crave, I high recommend Mr. Reynolds' book "Rip it up and start again". The indie (often referred to over-broadly as "new wave") scenes that spawned/influenced the superbands of Britains late 80s - early 90s (and beyond) are gone over with a fine-toothed comb and dissected ad infinitum. An entire chapter on Genesis P. Orridge, YES!!!
As for the box set, I already own every album from every band found on it that I like (and some I don't) so it would be a waste of time and a redundancy of music for me. I try to avoid this because my music collection already fills up a room and a half and the wife, bless her heart, probably couldn't take much more...
You have to feel for the schedule makers/ESPN on this one. Another one of those games that looked great in early 2007: The highest scoring team in the NFC vs. Michael "The Human Video Game" Vick...
Yea, not so much.
I LOVED every second of that game. Flea-flicker, indeed!
I've also found that bringing up the Pats around here will lead to nothing but heartbreak...
..the unsportsman-like conduct of the Steelers. A non-starter, really...
Isn't there a clause about inhumane treatment in the Bill of Rights?
Couple of points:
1. The "he lied about it" thing: It's called protection against self-incrimination. A lot of guilty people do it every day in our justice system. Kind of the point of a court/jury system.
2. Out-of-shape: I thought one of the biggest problems with incarceration is that with hours upon hours of free time in prison, guys have nothing to do but lift weights and come out of prison as buff, super criminals? I'm sure Vick will have no problem staying in shape. Less likelihood of a "career-ending" knee injury too...
3. People should be allowed to smoke pot. Especially when they're about to go to jail for 2 years. The reason why the U.S. incarcerates the highest percentage of its citizenry is one part racism, one part financial (there are entire towns in the U.S. who are completely dependent on the local prison for their economy) and one part draconian marijuana policy. We're a laughingstock and a poorer nation because of it.
4. Like to give shout out to the non-regulars posting here that were drawn it by the "scandal" aspect of the story. Show's over folks - Look! Britney's not using a car seat! Unless, of course, you have some relevant OPS stats you want to lay on us.
5. Wes, where are ya?!? Can't keep the sarcastic/irony boat afloat by myself!
Irony requirement fulfilled!!!
Also as shocking to some (from the DEA):
"Prescription pain relievers are new drug users’ drug of choice, vs. marijuana or cocaine."
and
"Nearly 1 in 10 high school seniors admits to abusing powerful prescription painkillers. A shocking 40 percent of teens and an almost equal number of their parents think abusing prescription painkillers is safer than abusing "street" drugs."
AND
"Twenty-five percent of drug-related emergency department visits are associated with abuse of prescription drugs."

The "War on Drugs" is a sham. Maybe it will take a former "user" to change this. Our current dry-drunk obviously hasn't a clue..
"The Walking Dead" series by Robert Kirkman: it's currently on its 7th compilation volume of the series (with the 8th volume due early next year) and is as good of a zombie read as it gets until "World War Z" gets a comic treatment (or, fingers crossed, a theatrical release). Check out the 3 volumes of hardcover compendiums for a good few days of zombie apocalypse fun!
RE: Patriots Cheating Scandal
Really? I hadn't heard anything about that. Perhaps you could ask Lynx or Mike's Pace. Bill Bel-a-cheat; every week, all season, for 4 months. I get it.. They suck... Even at 16-0, even if they manage to win it all, they'll still suck. 2 votes, 3 if you count MendoJim, definitely in the "Patriots Suck cause they're cheaters" column. Got it. Just marked it down.
You ever wonder where the screenwriter of "Groundhog Day" got his inspiration from? I think he probably read too many online sports columns' "Letters" sections...
