Ahhh "lactivists"!

Aren't these the same "people" who made my wife feel like a bad mother because my son never latched (she pumped for a few months)?

Many people are extrapolating a bit from Maher's piece on Friday. What happens if I turn it around with the same (false) logic and claim that Le Leche would rather have seen my child starve than use a (gasp!) bottle and (Double-gasp!!) formula!

Almost 10% of infants either never latch or the mother doesn't produce enough milk to sustain a newborn baby. Le Leche should tell me where to put the pile of dead babies (alá "300") they deem unworthy to live...

//sarcasm off

MP...

You had me until "King of Queens"; for reasons too numerous to mention...

Kee-rist!

"Further more: If breast are an erogenous zone for women, aren't they also an erogenous zone for men (I like it when my nipples get licked)? Every part of the body could be considered an erogenous zone, because we feel with every part of our bodies, unless those body parts are paralyzed. However, the fact that you think that only female breast should never be exposed, shows how little you respect the perfection of the female body."

Does this shit get you laid in hippie drum circles or something? Cause its grossing me out more than breastfeeding in public...

Can I have my column back now?

I would rather read 500 posts from Mikes Pace exhorting the minutiae of the greatness that is the state of Ohio than read something like this ever again:

"Why does it feel so extremely good to see this man being held accountable? It feels better than meditation or medication. It tastes better than ice cream. It's more comfortable and inviting than a warm house on a cold day."

1. You're awfully sure he's going to be held accountable, aren't you? I mean he's already (according to some) gotten away with murder. What's armed robbery? He's already been released on bail.

2. If you need to base your personal happiness on the trials and tribulations of complete strangers, I'm pretty sure you need therapy. Seriously.

3. If he's acquitted, what happens then? Bathtubs and razorblades? That's why basing your happiness on the misfortune of others is a fool's salve. Sound like you learned (and retained) more from your abusive parent than you previously thought. Seriously.

4. This is not, I repeat NOT, Cary Tennis' column. Or friggin' Broadsheet!

5. Beckett. Because I'm a Red Sox fan.

Couldn't resist the Jew thing, eh Thrasher?

Additionally, I'm surprised by your lack of involvement in the board in the last week as King has been pulling out the stops, racism-wise, to entice you out of the woodwork. Guess you can't catch flies without some stink, but I digress.

Here's something for you to chew on (although I'm sure you'll be outwardly dissmissive of it - when aren't you?): I'm a white guy living in the south side of Chicago. I'm literally within a stones throw of Farrakhan's mosque. Something to the tune of 98% black, 1% hispanic, 1% other (I'm the "other"). I've lived there long enough (4 years) to get used to the fact that no one wants to sit next to me on the bus and most people think I'm a narc, even when I'm at the playground with my kid, but its cool. Builds character.

What I have never gotten used to is the racism. Blatant, in your face, completely over the top and unsolicited. Against hispanics. Against Indians. Against asians. Against themselves!?! Don't even get me started about the homophobia. You'd think that with the history of blacks in this country, there wouldn't be a double-standard, but there it is. So, when issues like this come up, I tend to think that they're a bit overblown. I'm sure the money helps to ease the pain, eh Donovan?

So to address the question of whether or not black QBs endure more criticism than white QBs, I'm in the "Of course" column. I just don't automatically assume that means he's being criticized more by caucasians. Of course, its things like the "Jena 6" BS that also lead me to qualify all of this as "above the Mason-Dixon line". That sh** is f**ked up and I couldn't see any reason for any person of color (black or whatever) to ever step foot in the south. A "white tree"? Are you insane? Only white tree I know of is the birch...

Thresher: if you had actually read my post, it wasn't nice or trite

I said the most racist people I know are black. And so are you.

And say whatever you want, racist, it doesn't change the fact that the "angry black man" act is stupid, silly and yes, a bit trite. Ya f***in' ignorant, backwards, selfish, arrogant racist asshole..
