Genocidal Massacre

When that many people get killed in Rwanda we call it genocide. But that's Africa. Oh wait a minute. The fact that its Africa is irrelevant...

Projections Of A Useless, Mentally Ill Cheeto Gobbler

Goldberg's entire book is one massive act of conservative projection. We've seen Karl Rove's mastery of this technique, most recently when he accused the Democrats of dragging the Republicans to war in Iraq. This is just the same kind of mental illness as acted out by Jonah Goldberg, useless cheeto gobbler.

Goldberg Is A Useless Cheeto Gobbler

The Doughy Pantload's book is an intellectual farce. It will never be cited by any serious academic except as an example of how not to theorize about fascism.

It's just not a serious book -- not even intended to be, despite much Pantload posturing.

Another Greenwald Tour de Force

Thanks Glenn. I knew that a complete picture would look like this but I didn't have the time to investigate Bush lie #66684637.

I can't tell you how great it is to have at least a few commentators out there like Glenn Greenwald who can be trusted to accurately sift through the information and intrepret it sensibly.

Billy Kristol...

is dumber than a bag of rocks. Its really pretty funny to watch him and his "colleagues" pretend to be intellectuals like their parents sort of were.

Sorry guys. You're quite serviceable as rank propagandists but lovers of truth you most certainly are not. Socrates would have no respect for you sophists.

@Steve Kelner, Dumbass

Steve Kelner said, "Finally, as regards atheists living in nonbelief, there's no scientific support for God as such, but there's no scientific evidence against him, either, Dawkins and his ilk notwithstanding. The best they can do is say there's no need for a deity. That ain't proof in any scientific sense I'm familiar with, and I was trained as a scientist. Nor are we likely to find any, either way."

There is a ton of scientific evidence against God. Let's do an experiment. We will look all over the United States for evidence of God. I have actually performed this experiment on numerous occasions and on every occasion the experiment comes out the same: no evidence for God.

Its pathetic that some idiot, like this Kelner moron, comes out waving their Ph.D. in everyone's face and then proceeds to make an argument no better than the one for the Flying Spaghetti Monster or the Magic Unicorn. Maybe you're willing to spend you;re life believing a bunch of weak shit like that because you're too afraid yo face reality but a lot of us have higher standards than that for our beliefs. We don't just believe every feel good story that mommy and daddy told us.

Get over yourselves theists. You're not as insightful as you think you are. In fact, you people are notably LACKING in insight and the ability to face reality.

Natural Moral Sentiments R All U Need

This guy is so full of shit.

Dude, you got no philosophical game at all. Your argument, such as it is, amounts to whining that the "new" atheists are obnoxious about bursting your bubble of delusion and are unwlling to learn all the details of you and your friends' delusional belief systems.

You make no new arguments -- just old arguments known to be bad.

Unfortunately...

...weasels like Bobo Brooks and The Stalin of H Street, Peter Beinart* may be right in the sense that the issue will be off the table in the presidential race. That's because all of the leading Democrats are compromised. Hillary and Edwards both voted for the war and Obama doesn't have the balls to slap the neocons around -- he's too busy lecturing the netroots and Paul Krugman.

*Oh yes, Peter. We haven't forgotten that you wanted to purge us anti-Iraq war softs. And we won't forget. We'll always remember your behavior during that defining period of 2002-2004.

Klein Needs To Be "Rathered" As An Example To Other Media Whores

We need to swarm all over that asshat Joe Klein. It will put other journalists on notice that they cannot get away with the same bullshit they got away with the last several election cycles. And it will help start the process of delegitimating the Vichy liberal pundits of whom Klein is only one of many. Let Joey go play with his neocon buddies if he likes them so much.

At least Dan Rather had his facts right. Klein is just an idiot.

@jackaroyd

jackaroyd said, "A much simpler hypothesis is that they do, in fact, support the permanent occupation of Iraq, the pursuit of imperial power and widespread use of domestic spying. Under this hypothesis, what appears to be craven capitulation is instead posturing for their base."

I think that's undoubtedly the case for some Democrats. However, I think that the craven capitulation scenario is also real and probably just as prevalent, if not more so.

Glenn Nails It Again

Klein is a fatuous bufoon who regularly makes a fool of himself over at Swampland, but Glenn disembowels him here with surgical precision. I wish that every DLCer could read and understand this post because Glenn has outlined exactly what the Democrats' problem is.

All you have to do is ask yourself, "How did the Republicans get where they are today?" Did they triangulate and worry about liberal criticism? No. They stood up for what they believe. Granted their beliefs are evil, but that is beside the point.

How did the Republicans get where they are today?
