@Sinnard

Agreed. I was responding to an earlier comment.

In my view the Republicans are not for small government, they're for small redistribution. As you say, they love big government defense projects and they love government domestic spying and interference in private behavior like drug use and sex.

Original article: Who is Sarah Palin?

Boy Did I Have An Acid Flashback Today!

I actually hallucinated that John McCain picked some chick from Alaska as his VP pick!

Ridiculous I know, but the flashback felt so real!

I Fucking Hate Pigs

The pigs have gotten totally out of control when it comes to 1st Amendment rights. From "Free Speech Zones" to busting pewaceful protesters, this is not the United Sttes of America any more.

Fuck the police.

@Shooter

"If said people behave themselves, I'm sure they'll be fine."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Shows how much you know about pigs, you ignorant, sheltered authoritarian asshole.

I Fucking Hate Pigs

Fuck the police and all their apologists.

If You've Actually Dealt With Pigs, You Know

Anyone who has learned about what pigs are like firsthand rather than from watching cop shows on tv knows that the majority of them are authoritarian assholes with very bad attitudes.

Pigs abuse their power ALL the time because it is almost impossible to win a case against a pig. I know. Ive tried. They lie for each other. They lose evidence for each other. And most of what they do ends up being a matter of your word vs. the pig and the pig always wins in those situations.

I fucking hate pigs.

@Baldie McFucknugget

Are you calling me retarded? You have no idea who or what I am.

I have been seriously fucked with unjustly by pigs on several occasions. I know of what I speak and I have a right to tell the truth about it.

Wednesday, September 3, 2008 12:30 PM

@L.W.M.

You know what I sound like?

Someone who just read about a famous journalist covering the convention of the extremist Republican party and being arrested by the pigs for no apparent reason. Conspiracy to riot, my ass.

I also sound like someone who learned about pigs in real life, not tv. I sound like someone who has been teargassed while protesting peacefully. I sound like someone who has had his civil rights grossly violated by the pigs on several occasions.

You on the other hand, sound like an apologist for authoritarian dickheads.

Daisycutter is more like it

You wouldn't want to meet me in real life, bro. Wouldn't be prudent.

Wednesday, September 3, 2008 12:47 PM

@LWM

As a matter of fact, I used to be a landscaper. You dig holes all day and move big trees around and you get strong. I bet the vast majority of landscape workers could kick your cheetoh encrusted ass -- right there in your mother's basement.

Another day...

...another tour de force by Glenn.

The media whores are such fatuous idiots they believe their own bullshit and have no idea how stupid they sound.

Its Preventive, Not Preemptive

Its an important distinction because pre-emptive war can be fully just. If someone is massing troops on your border with hostile intent and you strike first that is pre-emptive and just fine. If you attack Iraq because you are worried they might someday acquire WMD and be a threat then it is preventive war. Preventive war knows no limits and is unjust.

An ostensively preventive war like Iraq that gets a million people killed based on lies? That is pure unadulterated evil.

Let Me Tell You How Tumulty Operates

I have no respect for Karen Tumulty.

Back in April 2007, Karen Tumulty took an utterly gratuitous shot at Hillary Clinton, suggesting that Clinton was exploiting the Rutgers basketball women (at the time that Don Imus had insulted) because Clinton's blog had a post about it and there was a contribution button on the web page -- something that every campaign blog has and indicative of nothing but Tumulty's desire to prove she's not a librul.

This was when Swampland was just starting out. I was a regular commenter for a while and I took Tumulty to task for her cheap shot and demanded that she explain on what grounds she had singled out Hillary Clinton for this "offense". She refused to respond, obliquely dismissing the charge in one post, saying she had already responded. So I began to comment every day with a Tumulty Countdown counting the number of days since she had failed to explain why it wasn't a cheap shot.

Instead of responding, the worthless Time Magazine banned me from Swampland. In fact they banned me so bad that for many months I was not even able to view their worthless fucking web page -- they somehow locked me out.

That's media whores for you, and Tumulty is one of them.

Note To Karen Tumulty

By the way, Karen: Glenzilla absolutely spanked your sorry ass with his reply. Glenn didn't misunderstand anything, darling and you make a fool out of yourself for pretending he did.

I'm glad you stopped by to see a real blog though, unlike Time's execrable Swampland. Here on Glenn's blog people are free to challenge Glenn all they want. Glenn often responds and NEVER bans anyone for challenging him.

You and the rest of the media whores could learn a helluva lot from Glenn Greenwald.

Tuesday, September 16, 2008 09:12 AM

Why Swampland?

Probably because the area where Washington D.C. is located was originally a swamp.

BTW: Karen Tumulty is atill a media whore.

Hey Karen: why did you take that gratuitous shot at Hillary Clinton back in April 2007?

The Karen Kool Kidz Kountdown is now up to about 500+ days.
