Now. If you have something specific and germane to refute the obvious fact of ms. palin's lies, please, i'm all ears. but don't throw a bunch of tired crap onscreen and expect that to suffice.-- dhadbawnik
I've got links to USA Today, NY Times, and the Alaska paper, that all credit Palin with pulling the plug on the bridge. But sending them to someone who will defend AlGore saying he "took the initiative in creating the internet" is a waste of everyone's time.
Oh yeah I also notice that snopes hasn't declared the bridge story as false. It would seem you're so far in tank that even you're own reference cites won't back you up. Heh.
the american people are tired of being lied to. if palin can't tell the truth about something so straightforward as this, what will a government with her in the "cheney seat" look like? -- dhadbawnik
Can I presume you're doing the same with Obama's lies? Ayers, Wright, Acorn, Rezko, so forth and so on? Were you around when Gore took credit for the internet, or Kerry went to Cambodia?
It's OK to screw the government for every federal dollar you can get (regardless of whether it makes fiscal sense), but since Congress finally caught on and killed funding on this worthless project,-- bdop4
Oh please, how sanctimonious can one get? have you actually ever protested federal money going to your state? I doubt it. I suspect most here think NOT ENOUGH money is spent locally. What hypocrisy. Just in case you really are outraged by pork here's some you can protest....
http://thenextright.com/publius/democrats-fight-for-earmark-status-quo
But I'm pretty sure we won't be hearing you protest Deocrat pork anytime soon. Am I right, or am I right? Heh.
I have no doubt that will salve your offended sense of semantics, yes? Now how about something equally overblown, about Obama? ACORN or Ayers, or his "Muslim faith", or pigs?
But Shooter, come on, do us a favor. Drop the idiotic pretense that you're voting for Obama.
If Palin were running for President, it would be problematical, but voting for McCain is just not going to work. In reality both candidates have huge baggage, flip flops galore, large gaps in knowing how the world works, and campaign promises that will evaporate right after the inauguration.
I personally think it's time for a radical change in direction, and McCain isn't it. When put up against the energy of Palin and Obama, McCain rather does resemble a dead fish. He's also proven to be liberal enough, that voting for a real liberal isn't all that scary. So yes, I'm still voting for Obama.
I replied to your queries last thread, by asking what you thought the anwsers were before I gave you the cites. I'm still interested in your response.
Sheer evil. But good to see such a position openly advocated. We know whose hand to keep off the trigger.
Exactly how does letting the rest of the world fight it out amongst themselves involve me, or any other American, and a trigger. It doesn't. Your bias is screaming so loud you can't read and comprehend. Heh.
If you're in a high marginal tax bracket, you ought to be happy. You're in an enviable spot.
LOL. I'm fortunate because I get to keep less of MY money? Let's use that spin on the poor.
Who is greedier? The person that wants to keep more of their earnings, or the person who covets those earnings for themselves. That latter person would be you. Greedy.
Thus you have the ability to cut your taxes far more easily than those poor proles....
I'm still waiting to hear exactly how I have this wonderful ability to cut my taxes. Or, you could just admit you have no clue.
Well, the left has blessed war in Afghanistan, even Glenn. Welcome to the real world.
Im' sorry, but I'll bite.
What percentage of FICA taxes are paid by the wealthiest 1%?
What percentage of SS taxes are paid by the wealthiest 1%?
What percentage of income earned is actually recieved by the top 1%?
What percentage of DMV fees (fees ARE a tax) are paid for by the top 1%?
I can give you actual answers to those questions, but I'd like to hear what you think those answers will be. And be honest if you think they are grossly undertaxed.
Eliminating the special rate for capital gains taxes would reverse a major inequity in the current income tax. And we could reduce rampant Underreporting of capital gains income by instituting automatic withholding, just as we do with salaries."
This cements the observation that there is no understanding of capital investment. How exactly are you going to "withhold" on a house, or a machine, or a savings account, or a truck? You can't.
Like I said, if you want to see what happens when government is the only source of capital, go to Cuba. I hear though they have great healthcare. Heh.
