Misguided "libertarian"

Is it necessary to point out that the US mass media, acting in collusion with the Bush Administration, are the only principals who *had the power to create* that tragically false belief in the minds of 70% of the American people?

I wouldn't get too excited about that number. It's one President late and 8% low. Two days after 9/11 it was 78%

and obviously generated by Democrat propaganda in the wake of Clinton's bombing of Iraq in 1998.

An excellent description of the Salon/Kos/Atrios/Olbermann/etc./etc./etc./ community

Glenn:

…it is always so striking how these [....] -- who are held out as such sophisticated and insightful observers of the political scene -- are so driven by basic group think, almost always reading from the same script of conventional wisdom, spouting the same cliches on almost every topic.

Well, one cliche I suppose. EVERYTHING is Bush's fault.

I did it again....

But shooter's premise is that the American people remember the bombing of 1998 but not that of 2001. How convenient. -- Frankly, my dear, ...

LOL, do I need to reprint all the Democrat quotes beating the drums about Saddam in 1998, AGAIN? Just say the word.....

John Anderson sees through the BS.

However, someone else has pointed out that the report was actionable in the sense that it could have been taken seriously by Bush, rather than discounted out of hand. Shooter242 seems to be ignoring this argument, unless I missed something.

-- John Anderson

John, what makes you think Bush discounted all this out of hand? When one makes factual assertions, it's up to the debater to prove the point. Should you read the 9/11 report, I think you'll find a more balanced version of events.

Reality check time.

The great fraud being perpetrated in our political discourse is the concerted attempt by movement conservatives, now that the Bush presidency lay irreversibly in ruins, to repudiate George Bush by claiming that he is not, and never has been, a "real conservative."

Apparently you are mistaking the shopping list for the next Republican presidential candidate for real concern. Ask any of these you quote, whether they would have been better off with Kerry. To a man/woman they will laugh in your face.

The arrogance of liberalism

It's amusing to see all the BDS on display. Perhaps it should be noted that Bush isn't up for election anymore. But ultimately, this from Adnoto sums up the left's view of the country.....

They voted for BushCo and most of them will vote for the next con candidate. This is a major problem we all have. Every time these imbeciles want to dissociate and still hold on to their obviously failed ideology we have people that let them do just that. They don't need leadership, they need to change their ideology/philosophy. Period. Conservatism, of any stripe is an inherently bad thing.

Apparently he didn't get the memo that Government is here to serve the country, not that conservatives were meant to serve him. That aside, what are you folks going to do now that you can't run against Bush? So far I've seen talking points on surrender, tax hikes, socialized medicine, and illegal immigration amnesty. Is that pretty much the platform?

Now that Dems have demonstrated an unwillingness to follow through on containing pork, there's one item that won 2006 down the drain. The culture of corruption will be focused on Dems now that Cold Cash Jefferson has been indicted. Perhaps you can find another Republican gay to beat up.

Personally I think Adnoto should sign up with the Dem primary winner's campaign and tour the country telling conservatives how stupid they are, and how smart his candidate is. Heh.
