Power to the ??????

Ok. So there are lot's of "journalists" you people despise with the appropriate passion. Isn't it about time to put forth the people you think should replace them? Are there any positive ideas to avail yourselves of?

Shooting spitballs is fun, but not indicative of leadership qualities. Or is it the case that this group never wants to grow up? So far all I see is character assassination, and protracted moaning that the world isn't the way it "should" be. Is that all that's offered here? Destroying is easy, building is hard. From what I can see the lot of you don't have the heart to suffer the slings and arrows that come with standing up for something positive. Tsk.

Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Heh.

The reason I think that is an important process is because journalists so frequently misunderstand the primary criticisms bloggers make, and instead, respond to caricatures or strawmen.

Well, what do you expect? Relentlessly beating up people for doing something and offering no remedy for approval other than career destroying advice leaves one to try guessing what would realisticly cease the bashing. Essentially the line of thought is...

* Reporters from the beltway are corrupted by access to the people they are reporting on. (Well, do you expect said reporters to get the real scoop by phone from Secaucus? As if.)

* The process of reporting should be more adversarial. (Right. These subjects are not in a witness chair under oath, they cannot be bullied into sharing.)

* We who judge the wrongness of reporting methodology shall offer no better ideas, just unrelenting criticism for something we could not do ourselves.

This is a terrific recipe for getting less worthwhile information from Washington and shifting attitudes outside the beltway to responses of PR blurbs. But, carry on you askers of the impossible. Beat up those insufficiently liberal reporters without care or consideration. We on the right could do no better at dismantling the liberal media. We thank you.

Journalism jihad ....

Just to be clear, we conservatives may voice dismay at your methods but applaud your efforts to dismantle the MSM. Have at it with our blessing. Heh.

You go, girls.....

There is nothing so lovely as the din of internecine wars of words in the lefty logosphere. You folks are doing a wonderful job of slicing and dicing the past, while pointing fingers at everyone possible except yourselves. How about some contemporary reporting for a change? Possible subjects....

* The defeat of socialist candidate Royale

* Student uprisings in Iran

* Ever increasing tax revenue

I mean, God forbid you folks actually do something useful other than bitch each other out in the purity of PC posturing. Tsk.

A triumph of optimism over experience....

Rebuilding New Orleans should be a cornerstone of the Democrats' Southern Strategy. It's the right thing to do on every level: spiritual, moral, public policy, politics.

Considering Dems were in charge all along, what makes you think they will do a better job this time?

Tsk, tsk.

Rosenberg: Rebuilding New Orleans should be a cornerstone of the Democrats' Southern Strategy. It's the right thing to do on every level: spiritual, moral, public policy, politics.

Shooter: Considering Dems were in charge all along, what makes you think they will do a better job this time?

Rosenberg: Sorry, I didn't realize that George W. Bush was a Democrat. My bad!

And Bush had what exactly to do with the pit NO had become pre-Katrina? Why, not a thing. It was that way before the hurricane, and will likely be that way evermore considering it's collective decision to re-elect "School Bus" Nagin and "Cold Cash" Jefferson. Like Washington DC, it's a continuing advertisement for Democrat corruption, and ineptitude.

On the bright side for you guys, the Pulitzer issued to the Times-Picayune, ignoring dangerous factual errors, is a great talking point about the failure of the MSM.

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

The RW talk radio doyens don't rant on about the inadequacies of Cleveland's political machine however, because it hasn't embarrassed the Republican elite of the federal government.

If Cleveland were legendary, flooded by governmental failure, had televised misery 24/7, rampant rumors of death and gunfire, and was in time to bash Bush, it would be talked about.

Ah, yes, it's all the fault of those constitutionally corrupt Negroes, isn't it shooter242.

You're race baiting? I thought liberals didn't hold with such truck.

You remember, the bridge where all those New Orleans refugees were turned back into the drowned city at gunpoint by the Gretna cops for the crime of walking while black?

Indeed, and considering the reports of gangs running amuck, gunfire, dead bodies littering the Dome, etc. it was the right thing to do. Too bad Governor Blanco decided to keep out the Red Cross and Salvation Army. But the increased suffering at the Dome was good TV though, wasn't it?

If the shoe fits...

Of course PBS will be counted as "partisan liberal" for putting on such a production.-- DrEyeBall

Indeed. PBS just cancelled a show describing the difference between moderate and fundamentalist Muslims. Dhimmitude reigns. Without a doubt PBS considers Bush a greater threat than suicide bombers. At least until another attack occurs.
