This sounds like a slumber party sour grapes session, for all the girls that didn't get invited to the prom. Man up you wussies. Not everyone wants to view the world as a nearly empty glass, all the time.
I never had that problem, because I never claimed to be any more than I was, nor did I have a painful need to shout about my 'manliness'. -- El Cid
But apparently you have a "painful need" to declare the lack of manliness in others. I'd say that's revealing as well.
That is the left's word for cheerleading isn't it? Encouragement, community, empathy, that sort of thing?
Then of course, there is the obvious comment of how this group prefers "we lose, they win". What a sad, pathetic, miserable, lot you are.
The Politico is rapidly becoming one of the most prominent and influential national media organizations, and its odiousness has seemed for some time to be generated by more than just the standard dysfunction in our national press corps.
Translation: Waaaaaah!!!
And it's particularly enjoyable how she skimmed right over the story of why a Reagan official is in charge of The Politico and what that means,
It doesn't mean squat, actually. It's just another player in the word wars. Why you people have your panties in a twist is beyond me. Obviously Glenn has too much time on his hands and there is a dearth of real news to consider.
It would be nice if the media reported the facts for a change. Like the fact that most people in this country want a system of national health care. I'll not hold my breath. -- L.W.M.
LOL,I can't resist. That's your idea of news? Well then, here's a late breaking scoop for you, we ALL want free healthcare, long life, wealth, marrying the love of our life, and world peace. With a cherry on top.
But doesn't it look like the socialist state of France is voting to become less socialist. Heh.
You drive on roads and use the water, complaining all the while that the roads are crap and the water is bad. You whine about the quality, but tell your reps not to put money into anything that might help everyone because that's commie.
Shooter, we live together in this world. We live with each other in our communities. It doesn't matter if you don't agree, people without health care or insurance make you less rich. Why can't you see that? -- michilines
See what exactly? Are you saying that your contribution to the world is your wonderful self?
Our own citizens drive to Canada and Mexico to get not just prescription drugs, but dental and medical care they can't afford to get here. Companys and insurers are now offering employees free trips to countries like Thailand to get surgery our great and glorious health care system can no longer provide at anything near a reasonable rate.
So a remedy to high healthcare costs has been found! Congratulations! Meanwhile, perhaps you could let us in on all the cutting edge research Canada, Mexico, and Thailand, are easing the world's pain with?
But hey, if equating universal healthcare to the chance you may one day get laid helps you out, well good luck with that.-- Dawggone
And who said liberals have no sense of humor.
Shooter, I'd respond to you but your comment is incoherent and lacks anything substantial to respond to. At least Jestaplero's criticisms were somewhat coherent, if completely inane. -- L.W.M.
I would not have thought it possible, but here we have what could be the first left-wing troll, of a left-wing blog.
Apparently the Left Wing equivalent of the Christian Coalition is twisting arms in Congress....
On Thursday, leaders of the liberal group MoveOn.org, including Tom Matzzie, the group’s Washington director who also serves as the campaign manager for the coalition, sent a harshly worded warning to the Democratic leadership.
“In the past few days, we have seen what appear to be trial balloons signaling a significant weakening of the Democratic position,” the letter read. “On this, we want to be perfectly clear: if Democrats appear to capitulate to Bush — passing a bill without measures to end the war — the unity Democrats have enjoyed and Democratic leadership has so expertly built, will immediately disappear.”
Sounds like a threat to me. It also sounds like "undue influence" as well. Whatever. Every group ever pointed to by the left, as having "undue influence", need only to pull this out in response. Heh.

Sarkozy wins big. Heh.
Has Hume said anything negative about Bush?
Has Olbermann said anything positive about Bush?
When coverage is lopsided one way or the other with no relief, one can say partisan. Meanwhile this is not going to survive a change of administration....
That actually is -- or at least used to be -- called "journalism." What ought to define the function of a political "journalists" is that they exercise adversarial oversight over government officials. That is the only thing that makes a political press worthwhile.
"Adversarial" to the exclusion of all else is partisanship. More importantly, I have little doubt that sentiment will change as soon as a Democrat is elected President. Tsk.
