If Barry Soetoro was born in America why does he just not stop the fighting and allow access to his birth records and college transcripts?
Just a simple stroke of the pen would stop the critics dead in their tracks.
The African despot running America will be found out, in 2011 when the new conservative congress takes action. The corrupt-o-crats will then have their dear leader exposed and sent packing to Kenya or the grey bar hotel.
Sarah Palin and America should be asking what Sheik Obama, our American hating muslim president, is hiding? It is going to get interesting when you libtards start pointing fingers at each other to see who is to blame,
BINGO! Thanks for playing "Wingnut Talking Points Bingo"!

It's reminiscent of 1930s Germans, who wouldn't accept the reality of what their conservative government was doing until shocked back to reality when they lost the war. It's frightening to contemplate what it will take to shock America's far right back to reality.
It certainly frightens me, because I'm not sure it can be achieved in this universe. It took two back-to-back defeats and occupations to make Germany say "Heilige scheisse, what the fick were we thinking?" The last time the US and A was occupied by a foreign power was somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 years ago, and we were small enough then to occupy.

There must be at least one [right-sider] left who is as disgusted and ashamed as the rest of us. Where is that person?
So far under cover that he has to have daylight sent to him by UPS, lest he be torn limb from limb when Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, the Republican Party and the other wholly-owned subsidiaries of the right-wing noise machine (established 1971) make him the target of a Two Minutes Hate/Red Hour.

I think these guys grew up in threatening, abusive situations, and regardless of how things moved on for them, part of them is stuck "there," always on alert for the return.
I know that's the case with the message-board nutter I've mentioned in some of my letters here. Every word that flows from his purple yet smoking keyboard makes it clear that he was raised in a world where love and friendship were things that happened to other people, never to him. If it makes me an armchair psychologist to draw a line between that and his uncritical embrace of everyone who assures him that Obama actively hates America and actively wants to destroy it, I wear the label with pride.
it was Hamlet, not Lear, who said "Use every man after his desert, and who shall 'scape whipping?" Other than that, good job.

Here's an alternate liberal argument. As is true of so much in U.S. politics these days, the logic of empire is to blame. We have spent the better part of our history trying to deny national self-determination to Latin America. Whenever a regime pops up that threatens U.S. corporate interests, we overthrow it (Honduras in the '50s), fund a civil war (Nicaragua in the '80s) or assassinate the leader (Chile in the '70s). Mexico has been our vassal state since forever.Meddling in the affairs of others usually comes back to bite you (re-installing the Shah of Iran in the '50s, for example), but this is a lesson we in America refuse to learn. The blowback in this case is the rising tide of illegal immigration.
...there are friction burns on my tongue from where you took the words right out of my mouth, NDD. Thought you ought to know.
Don't believe me? Try this simple experiment: replace the word "God" in DB's comment with "the Flying Spaghetti Monster". Or replace it with "the Invisible Pink Unicorn" and switch the gender of the pronouns ("Usually she takes a more hooves off approach, but sometimes she does some amazing things"). If you think it subtracts from the validity of DB's proof, you presumably also think there was proof there to have its validity subtracted, and if that's your problem, I can't help you.
