The Other CIA leak case
[Read the article: The other CIA leak case]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The existence of CIA "black sites" have been known in Europe for several years.
We should tell Bill Frist to put the blame of the so-called "leak" (!) on the French.

O'Reilly and Robertson: Agree with us or die
[Read the article: O'Reilly and Robertson: Agree with us or die]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]First, I think there is a typo in the title. It should read: Agree with us and die.
Besides, who listens to what these two baffoons say?

No One Could Have Predicted It.
[Read the article: No one could have predicted it]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]No one could have predicted it? All of Europe did. Maybe now, Americans realize how wise the United Nations were. The Iraq war is not only illegal, it is irresponsible. Our Administration claim they did not predict the uprising of a civil war? Sure they did. But our Government members'arrogance made them believe they could crash it in no time. That is the real ignorance.
Sectarian antagonism in the Islam world can only be controlled by a dictature. Squeeze that one in the seach for democracy.

Control of Abu Graib turned over to the Iraqis Government forces
[Read the article: U.S. to stop using Abu Ghraib]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Our Administration should realize that, as long as our occupying forces are in Iraq, they are still responsible for what happens in the Abu Graib jail, after it is handed over to the Iraqi forces. We can easily imagine the extent of the cruelty the prisoners will have to endure from their Iraqi captors. Our Administration is again showered with hypocrisy, just like when prisoners were shipped to other foreign countries for "questioning". Our leaders in this war should understand that washing their hands this way, does not make them clean.

Rewrite of the security clearances at the White House
[Read the article: Forget the leakers, let's crack down on the gays]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Does that mean that Jeff Gannon will not be authorized to make a fool of himself during the White House briefings?
What a shame...!

Dick Cheney's response to "his rosy comments" question
[Read the article: Cheney: On Iraq, I'm "basically accurate"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If I understand well our V.P. comments, it took two years for the "last throes" terrorists to reach the "stage of desperation". What is their next jump? A 10 year walk to the cemetery?

George W Bush, in his own words
[Read the article: The things he said today]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am split between cracking up and being relieved I did not watch the meeting. Anyway, it does not seem that I missed something meaningful.

McCain's embrace
[Read the article: McCain's embrace, Halliburton's profits and Tom DeLay's gun]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I was stunned to see Senator McCain cuddle up with George Bush. He had been driven through mud by George Bush campaign, with one of the worst smear allegations we ever had to witness. A man who took so many vicious blows and ends up standing by those who humiliated him cannot be a head of State.
As to Jerry Fallwell, his influence on future elections is grossely overstated. What got George Bush re-elected is not the religious right, it is the tape of Bin Laden showing up before the elections date.
Fear is far more effective than religion.

Zarqawi's capture and death
[Read the article: "Mission Accomplished" in a business suit]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Although it is true that we should not "inflate" Zarqawi's role in Iraq, we should not under-evaluate it either. The list of atrocities he committed is impressive, and his participation to the increased violence between Sunnis and
Chias is not negligeable. Provocation works, and there is no doubt that Zarqawi used it.
Our Military did a great job in tracking, finding and eliminating a dangerous man and, even if it will not end the insurgency, we should thank them for it. It also demonstrates that we did not need to invade Iraq. Target elimination, through Intelligence coupled with large rewards, not only works, but is by far less costly than an endless war, in financing and loss of lives.
As to our President's visit to Iraq, have you seen the Iraqi Prime Ministers'expression on his face? The last thing on earth he wanted, was to be seen and photographed with George Bush at his side. No doubt, Prime Minister, you are a dead man walking.

New York Times disclosure of spying on Americans finances
[Read the article: Treason and the Times]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am surprised by the hooplah created by our President and some Republican representatives. George Bush, and other Administration officials have themselves indicated in public, on several occasions, that one way to fight terrorism was to cut the sources of its funding.
Only imbeciles did not understand what that meant. The New York Times just put it in plain words, a few years later.
Jester's secret.

Schwarzenegger and Yosemite Park painted on his campaign bus
[Read the article: The jolly green Governator]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Can anyone inform the Governor of California that Yosemite is a Federal park, not a State one?
What about him protecting California from Exterminator Pumbo?
