Enforceability

Hi Glenn---

Maybe its been addressed but I couldn't find an answer on your letters page. How enforceable is a contract of the type made with Hicks? Obviously, they could abduct him again and that would be that, but it seems that kind of move would generate exactly the kind of publicity no government wants. After the AIG bonus scandal became a typhoon, you had a nice piece about how easy it is, legally speaking, for litigators to punch holes in even slightly unreasonable contracts. So I wonder, as an attorney, what is your opinion on the real heft of these "gag orders"? It seems to me that they would never stand up in court, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.
