Stephanie

was right about there will be blood and the dark knight, but she is so wrong about this movie. I saw it this afternoon and plodding and workmanlike does not describe this movie. The imagery, dialogue, and character development were outstanding. It was not action-packed nor was it slow. It told a story, a very interesting story, and I was not thinking about politics when I watched it.

I could not believe

Cary's response to Cranky Old Person. Geeez. Hope you wrote her and apologized.

I'm all a-tingle

And so happy. I knew I was happy when Obama got elected, but did not know just how elated I would be with him in office. We misunderestimated GWB and now we have happily underestimated President Obama. Yaaaayyyy!

That hand

is amazing, wrinkle upon wrinkle, with skin so thin you can see through it, and still beautiful. I'm 50, and getting old is okay. A lot of stuff you worried about when you were younger has already blown up in your face and there's nothing left to do except (as kate hepburn said) keep-a-goin.

The trailer looked awful too.

I'll skip it.

I gave this book to my daughter a few years ago

She's 17 now and a little afraid to see the movie, but we must go! I loved this review.

You

just said a mouthful. Thank you very much. This struck a chord with me because my son, who has never walked (unless you call walking while braced up to his armpits walking) a day in his 18-year life, having been born with spina bifida, is only this year eligible for SSI. I do not make a lot of money. Very funny about Rush Limbaugh. He's a dope. (It did not take me too long to come up with that.)
