I'm an undecided voter, but I am thrilled to have 2 strong candidates to choose from.
Reading the letters, I will say that the attitude of the Obama supporters is a real turnoff. The nastiness is not doing your candidate any favors. The man should be able to win on his own merits, not by tearing others down or by blowing him all out of proportion (Lincoln?)
And 2 factually incorrect pieces of information keep cropping up that should be corrected. Obama did not spend YEARS as a community organizer. He did it for 2-3 years between college and law school. The kind of thing you do to build up your resume while taking the LSATS, if you have an interest in politics, like working for NYPIRG. It's not bad, but it's not THAT impressive.
#2, Hillary Clilnton was NEVER a corporate lawyer for WalMart, and she did not work for WalMart. She was asked to be on the board when they were getting criticised for not having any women on the board. She was the first female member and was in fact responsible for getting them to put together the first plans for environmentally friendly stores. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/20/us/politics/20walmart.html
Let's win or lose on the truth. These candidates deserve no less.
I've heard men say shamelessly in public that they wouldn't vote for Hillary because she "reminds me of my first wife." (presumably the smart, capable one that put them through school and bore their children and who they left for some unchallenging bimbo).
Imagine any kind of equivalent remark about Obama. Never happen.
you all are impossible. the woman never shows a single crack, you all call her the ice queen.
she has an actual moment of emotion, exhausted and overcome by an actual sympathetic question and the depth of her desire to make the country a better place, and you put a disgusting twist on it -- it's fake, it was planned, she's weak. classic. Edwards is a pig. Is that what he says when his wife chokes up about her cancer? That she's weak?
i was on the fence, but HRC is my hero now. why the hell would anyone put herself through this -- expose herself to these types of unending attacks -- unless she really did care? A lesser person would have folded a long time ago.
Rebecca, you go on. Somebody's got to stand up for women, when we're dammed when we do and dammed when we don't.
As for Obama, I'm waiting for someone to say to him "I knew Robert Kennedy, and you're no Robert Kennedy -- get over yourself!"
