Original article: The real war on Christmas

Save Our Families

I was so glad someone wrote this. I thought I was the only one who dreads that family moment when someone starts shouting like O'Reilly, or referring to their guru, Rush. The right-wing talk hosts are not only ruining Christmas, but straining families. I choose very carefully, when, and how I visit family. I also fret days in advance over what's going to happen and what tactics I can use to sidestep political discussions altogether. And I'm a registered non-partisan voter who values the good in both the left and right. I'm convinced if we can have rationale, respectful discussions with the far right, we'll save not only the democracy, but our families as well.
