It's Mecha-Mitt Romney. Just as Mecha-Godzilla was a high tech step up from a guy in a rubber suit, Mecha-Mitt Romney is a high tech step up from a guy in a rubber Reagan mask.
Plus, he is made of metal
Considering that Lessig has said that he is leaving the copyfight to focus on government corruption, I think this move makes a lot of sense, if he could get on the house ethics comittee. But I fear that is about as likely to happen as Bruce Schneier becoming Director of Homeland Security.
We do need smarter people in Congress, and Lessig certainly meets that criteria. Too bad he would be replacing the reasonable Lantos rather than one of the true nutjobs.
It's the best I've ever had.
Am I the only person that read the headline and thought the creator of SimCity had said something bad about Obama? Yes? I thought so.
You mean like this jackass - http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2004/sep/25/usa.secondworldwar ?
Oh, wait, we are talking about appeasement. That is *totally* different from collaboration.
I have been using the vmcnetflix add-in for Windows Media Center, which allows you stream "Watch it Now" movies to your Xbox 360 very effectively.
I was in a situation like this. I am not proud...in fact, I spend every moment in my life thinking about her forgiveness. It amazes me; astonishes me. I was in a very bad, fucked up place and I did an unforgivable thing. And, against everything I thought as true...she forgave me. I cannot tell the LW what they should do. I can only thank my lucky stars that my sister had it in her to understand the horror I went through, and to eventually forgive me, I am not that person anymore. I hate him: She is an amazing person to me.
I am the first person to...not necessarily get...but to appreciate the Roxy Music reference.
"She needs a place where she can run her own show (AG) and not be expected to do the president's will."
You mean the Attorney General is *not* supposed to be a spineless sycophant who spends his days dreaming up ways to justify and excuse the President's extra-legal activities?
Who knew?
At least she didn't end up with totally ridiculous 11.5 inch ears like the Justice-Freaking-League Batman.
In all honestly, I am not too bothered by this. It's an update to the character to modernize her, but the "type" remains true. Her body-type is not too creepy to deal with (does she actually have feet? at least she isn't a Bratz), and I am actually okay with the idea of removing all the sugary cake references. Oh, Angel, you may be fat free, but you still contain 200 carbs per serving, before we pile on the strawberries and whip cream....
Gore will also announce that he breathes air and drinks water.
Is it really news that a major member of the democratic party is endorsing that party's candidate. Maybe a month ago, but not now that the primary is over.
How much nicer it would be if both Clinton and Obama took strong stands against the that FISA bill that's... whaddya call it? Oh right, a betrayal of the constitution and their alleged values - that might make me pay some attention to either of them. Right now I am at the "Barack Obama is a douchebag, but I am voting for him anyway" stage. I really don't care about either of these candidates, but will certainly vote against McCain since *I* am not a douchebag.
Neither of them is getting my money though.
Nah, between Hillary and Obama I am voting for the lesser of two douchebags. I wanted Edwards, who is not too much of a douchebag, for a politician.
For pretty much the same reason. They are middle right, and when they feel threatened they swing further right thinking that it's the politically safe thing to do. Obama is no better, apparently, given his recent FISA statements. My issues with the current set of high level female democrats (let's say Pelosi, Feinstein and Hillary Clinton) has nothing to do with them being women, and everything to do with them being just as craven as 97% of the male democrats in congress.
Are we certain that John McCain is not suffering from a brain hemorrhage? We only had a weekend to look at those thousands of pages of medical records...
You are correct - it was three hours and there were 1173 pages, but it only covers back to 2000. I think he released his records from before that during the 2000 race.
So, with so little time to go through them there could totally be a brain hemmorage tucked away in there behind his throbbing forehead vein.
Also, while I am back here; Yes, what is up with Senators (all of those mentioned that were not in a hospital) missing so many votes? As someone else mentioned I would get fired for a tiny fraction of their absenteeism.
