Can you not see how Hillary's tactics have upset so many Democrats? As Thom Hartmann said, there are fair fights and there are below-the-belt tactics. Piling on Reverend Wright and the other Fox News faux outrages, especially during the ABC debate, construe underhanded and personal attacks, and avail us NOTHING as a party. NOTHING. Except helping McCain. Maybe that's the plan, I'd hate to think so. Reading diehard Clintonist letter writers would make you think so.

Hillary fights for Hillary. McCain fights for his Neocon puppetmasters. Obama is the only one left standing, bringing a new approach to the fights of the working man and the dispossessed.

Also, I strongly dislike your "elitist" imagery in your byline, intentional or not. "Obama needs to come down from his...pedestal."

How is this kind of language helping anyone?

Hi there, drive-by Neocon troll. I just ran into your 432nd incarnation on Madden's article. Drop dead, brownshirt.

They are wondering why he couldn't wait until he had at least one full Senate term under his belt.

Because we are in the beginnings of the Second Great Depression. We are rationing rice now, for fuck's sake. We don't have the luxury of time. Not to mention stopping the nuking of Iran, if that's even possible at this point. 2/3rds of Iran's population is under age 30. That means murdering millions of kids.

I'm not sure how he can effectively address his lack of experience. It's kind of a "trust me on this" scenario, which can come across as a bit cocky. These are folks who take pride in earning their way and paying their dues. They still inhabit an "honest day's pay for an honest day's work" world.

Lol, there aint no such animal anymore. This is what 27 years of Reaganomics gets you. "Honest" has been completely removed from the equasion. It was sent to a Bangladesh sweatshop at 14 cents an hour.

From a small town perspective, there is no quick fix solution for Obama's experience deficit. Respect has to be earned and that takes time.

You are living in fantasy land if you think we have time. You and these Smalltown Joes can pine for these things all you want, you'll have plenty of time in the bread lines.

Welcome TJefferson, another 1 post Freeper.

Funny thing about that Thomas Jefferson, he was mortified by the prospect of ruling families.

Yet we are expected to sit back and live under another Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton Dual Monarchy. I say smash it into a thousand pieces. Down with the Queen....fascist regime. Just another War Pig / Crony Capitalist totally beholden to the Military-Industrial-Media Complex.

To Hell with HRC and her Bushian "Fuzzy Math."

  • Joan you seem to think...

(re: your last post) that Hillary is running against Obama supporters. No, she is running against Senator Obama. If you don't like HIM that's fine, but you seem to think that she is running against Keith Olbermann, rufus11, Manos, me, Randi Rhodes, Stephanie Miller, Bill Richardson, some dumb frat boy that said "Bros before Hos," whatever.

Why can't you make your arguments for or against Barack Obama based on what his record and his concrete proposals? Why focus on the sideshow?

  • Pointless race-baiting diversion. Fuck you Salon.

[Read the article: I was wrong about Wright]

Who gives a fuck about this diversionary nonsense. Race-baiting is rascism. Joan, Rush, Hannity, etc. are all straight-up racists. Here you have a guy, Barack Obama, that doen't have a mean bone in his body; who is just trying to help our country in its time of need...and Hillary tag teams with the GOP and the military-industrial-MEDIA complex to take this honest guy out and if racism is needed to take him out then fuck yeah they'll do it in a nanosecond. The end justifies the means. This Beast, this Dual Monarchy of Clinton and Bush; this dual monarchy of Kleptocracy and Crony Capitalism, has no soul and no humanity. It creeps blindly towards power and no one will stop it, especially not an uppity black man who only wanted to run and fight for progressive change.

I read an interview in Salon a month or so ago with George Carlin where he talks about he has completely divorced himself emotionally from humanity. I thought that was a bit harsh, but I see where he's coming from. I won't go that far, but I tell you unless our last hope is able to recover from this abyss and come to victory in November, then mark my words. I will completely divorce myself emotionally from my own nation, the United States of America. I am planning to leave this country in 2009. It will be done. If I must leave, under Bush III, then to quote Rev. Wright, "God Damn America." Once I am safely ensconced in a sane country then the United States can burn to the fucking ground for all I care. Who wants to live in an authoritarian idiocracy? Not me.

Fuck you Salon. And fuck you all you "nigger-kneecappers."

    I'm done here.

I will leave the United States in approximately one year. I order my first passport this week. I cannot honestly live in a nation that is devoid of Reason and Compassion. I am going to Northern or Western Europe. There is no point in participating in the slow death of this country. Mammon and Irractionality are taking over exponentially fast; their rule is almost complete.

  • Congratulations.

"Pound of Flesh" exactly. The MSM, the Insatiable Beast, got its Degredation Ceremony today. It will never be enough, the shark has smelled blood.

What a fool I was to think that we could actually have a choice for change in the 2008 Election. The Dual Monarchy is the only choice in November (with McCain acting as Bush Regent). Neocons have won. Karl Rove won. Vote or not in November, your vote doesn't matter (especially if you are poor, black, or disabled thanks to the SCOTUS descision today).

Nothing will change. Your voice doesn't matter. Your vote doesn't matter. You don't matter.
