Is there 1 word which describes America, --- a word

with which Americans wish to describe themselves?

Yes there is: Democracy

You dont have it anymore. USA is still in Iraq. The banks

whine, and congress caves. Congress caves on everything

that might distress the banks, Wall St., the pentagon, the

proIsrael lobby, -anyone and everyone who can pony up

a few hundred thousand, or a few million $$. to avoid Any

change to Their preferential circumstances.

If 1 man/woman had just 1 idea of merit that would change

the structure of the economy, the military, or diplomacy,

(such as a Presidential Order to Leave Iraq Now, or the

pentagon to chop 10-20% off its budget Now), he/she

would be mercilessly squeezed by their own party into

capitulation and reversal.

Through several critical elections the same old crowd

comes back to vote for Bush policies even after he

is gone.

Isn't this why Obama supporters are confused and

dissilusioned?

Democracy? Merit? 1 man/woman?

Nothing will change until they wheel out the guillotines

and use them on thousands of special interests and

their lobbyists. I think that this is Obama's plan.

I think that he fully understands the historical and political

meaning and desperation and necessity which leads to

political revolutions. I think that he will accept the isolation

and emptyness endured by Lincoln during the civil war.

Because that is what it will be.

One day Obama will say: 'Tim, it is just not working. You're

Fired.' -then on up and down the ranks. I think that he is

giving the old boys and girls 'X' days to prove their policies,

-then: en avant Les Barricades! He will be able to say '--you

had your chance and you failed'.

After November, who can doubt America's ability to change?

America was born in revolution, and

will be reborn in revolution. How could a frat boy distort the constitution

to the point of political and economic destruction? -Because there is

that much presidential power in that document, -power for good as

much as the opposite.

This should not be a suprise. FDR flattened the old order, and

rebuilt from the inside --there was little opposition: What choice

did America have? None. America is close to the desperation of

a republic yearning for political revolution. America is hungry, and

the blood of its "aristocrats" is not going to deter it.

None.

It wont be pretty and it wont be easy. You will have 'Change' every hour/day.
