[Read the article: John McCain and Bush's torture powers]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]-Hopefully you'll take a second to actually try to comprehend my posting before taking what I say on one subject and assuming I'm talking about something completely different.-
I did and 'comprehended' and responded to it in two parts.
Part one: I responded, if you'll review my words, "I am not going to comment on the first item, it's no more than a rumor to me at this juncture".
Part two: I stated that McCain's position on torture is demonstrably and verifiably disingenuous.
I repeat, on the latter point there is no 'swift-boat' involved, only repetition of the facts as they are available to anyone who cares to look it up.
The former smells like bullshit and and likely is.
Made-up bullshit swift-boat tactic is of no interest to myself or most others here.

[Read the article: John McCain and Bush's torture powers]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think I responded responsibly since you made two points in a short post headlined *quote* Don't swift boat McCain *unquote*
I made it clear in my first sentence that the alleged carrier deck incident was something that I was not prepared to comment on as the proof was ambiguous at best and lacked merit, therefore it was and is not a part of the discussion.
You, on the other hand, said in your closing sentence, *quote* I find it ironic that in response to an article criticizing
McCain for hypocrisy on torture, a bunch of people who
probably howled in protest over the swift-boating of
John Kerry (and rightfully so) are lamenting that
the media won't do the same to McCain. *unquote*.
I still remain unsatisfied as to how you can reconcile your closing sentence with the facts available.
Fact: McCain's voting record proves that he supports torture.
Fact: John Kerry's sliming by the right-wing 527 has been proven to based on falsehoods.
One of these things are not like the other...
I will take your advice and get some rest.

And I know what you 'said', I simply consider it bullshit.

Two things
[Read the article: Howard Kurtz on why media outlets ignore the "military analyst" story]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]CNN this morning started off with a report on Carter's trip to the ME. A viewer-participation 'quick vote' online is currently showing 74% of viewers in favor of Carter's meeting versus 26% opposed.
McCain, of course, has spoken out strongly against Carter's efforts while his own adviser, Tom Loeffler, lobbies for the Saudis who fund Hamas.
http://tiny.cc/3cJRT
McCain has also been cautiously critical of Obama's relationship to Wright. Not a peep from any quarter about Mccain's ongoing endorsement from Uber-cracker, The hateful bigot, Rev. Hagee.
Secondly, another brief segment on CNN as well, featuring a brief interview with the father of a US serviceman serving in Iraq. He commented that the son went twice for 8 weeks without a shower and 28 out 32 in his company suffered concussion or other trauma from IEDs.
And some would suggest that the troops are not receiving sufficient training.
Hell, these guys couldn't be better equipped to return stateside, assuming they survive, and take refuge permanently under a bridge.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]-...(eyelashes batting demurely, one coming unglued)...
I suggest a tube of silicone caulk/sealant for that. Sticks like shit to fur and dries clear. Your girlfriends will all want to know your secret.
Hint: You can get them in handy little dispenser tubes like toothpaste, which are sure to fit in your purse better than a big old caulking gun.

Indeed, one cannot go too far to conserve valuable space in this crowded world...unless one's purse happens to have wheels and a trailer hitch.

Follow the money
[Read the article: So long, Canada]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]It can't be overstated. Canada/US trade is a critical piece of the economy of both countries.
As Uncle Sam continues to tighten the rules, trade will likely decline. Tourism will be affected both ways. If you are in the business, count on negative growth in the coming years.

[Read the article: Iran complains about Clinton comments]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]-How does War Room finally cover this issue?
Long after Clinton made these remarks, appalling the liberal base, War Room/Salon finally covers it, how? By citing complaints from Iran....-
Glenn Greenwald has covered this days ago, as you may or may not be aware.
