Continues to Amaze

Whew. I still can't believe 57% of white people voted for the McCain Palin ticket. Astonishing.

Cue all blather about CNN and Rick Sanchez are so liberal, blah, blah, blah.

Hey folks when your only argument is one which appeals to the haters - you'll get the haters. Simple as that.

The Ridiculousness Continues

Seriously folks - the absolute boldface hypocrisy of this line of argument is BREATHTAKING.

Let's take into consideration the supposed victims of the alleged death panels that would accompany the heathcare reform- the elderly and the medically frail - THE VERY PEOPLE NOW COVERED BY GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE. The elderly are for the most part covered by Medicare - a government program which has managed up until this time to cover people without the need to employ euthenasia to think the pack. The medically fragile - those with chronic conditions (for example, Down Syndrome...) are frequently covered by either Medicaid or Medicare - as private insurance would either refuse to cover them or would cap out as their treatments are numerous and expensive. Again, the government hasn't smothered or poisoned any of them yet - however you can be sure private insurance HAS REFUSED TREATMENT to many of them. And, you can be sure, when legislation was being written to try and expand these programs - who was banging the drum against them. Who were the folks attempting to cut Children's Healthcare block funding???? Not the Democrats. These folks would surely have a reduced quality and length of life if not for the government run healthcare they are currently provided.

I guess it's just easier to believe that the EVIL Democrats and That Black Guy would kill people to give healthcare to the Lazy and Undeserving than to understand those making those claims have been supporting legislation which would accomplish just that by denying treatment because of lack of coverage.

And that's that.

That's it -'nuff said.

Why would anyone assume some nutjob that shot those soldiers was a liberal?

Seriously? Did he commit his crime to further the cause of nationalized healthcare? Did he hope his criminal act would bring to light huge earnings gap that came about over the past 20 years? And what - please tell me - left wing rhetoric would have driven him to this act? Did I miss the Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow show where they put some blame on the military for the troubles in this country? Do you folks actually believe this or do you just throw it out there to have something to counter the information being presented?

Come on folks, stop the false equivalence arguments. BS does not further debate.

Original article: Smearing Sotomayor

Hey look, the AP has gotten into the act...

You know, I was wondering what Judge Alito's brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles did - oh but wait, his siblings (does he have any?) would have been a non issue (as I might add, they should have been), but Judge Sotomayor's physician brother's practice taking or not taking medicare or medicaid is a talking point.

For goodness sake - where's the liberal media when you need it???

Seriously?

If you want to know what has driven moderates away from the GOP please go to YouTube and search for videos from the McCain Palin campaign. The attendees seem much more interested in keeping blacks, gays and socialists "in their place" (to put it mildly - and really, how many of them know the definition of socialism?) than have any actual concern over traditional GOP economic values. But when your party is allowed to be led by baiters like Limbaugh and Hannity - you reap what you sow. Seriously, when you employ a strategy of using Gay Marriage and Partial Birth Abortion amendments on the ballot to drive up your turn out - this is what you get. At this point Goldwater might have left the party because it was too conservative. Get back to being the party of Eisenhower and Teddy Roosevelt, then let's talk.

GOP Response

My personal favorite line of the night was how the Republicans "WENT ALONG WITH" the increased federal spending. WENT ALONG WITH - went along with WHOM????? They were in charge. They controlled both houses and the Presidency.

Theater of the absurd.

Just good old fashioned midwestern practicality

Umm, if you're going to have sex with a stranger in a public restroom, you kinda have to use the handicapped stall; it's the only one with enough room. Not that I've attempted it, or anything - 'cause I'm an uptight Philadelphia type and at sporting events we behave badly in a variety of different, but to a large extent nonsexual, ways - but I have had to use the facilities for their intended purposes with 3 small children accompanying me - and I'll tell you what - it's a little cramped. Not excusing - just explaining...

Republican cooperation with the Obama Administration

This is excellent. Let us all remember a "failed" Obama presidency is the last, best hope of the GOP. We'll see how they go about trying to accomplish that.
