Because of his differences with Obama would be spit-shining and kissing his ass if Edwards would have endorsed Obama despite those differences.
Nothing has turned me off Obama more than his blinder-wearing supporters. The constant spin, spin, spin of every single fucking wisp of Obama straw into a gold hammer to cudgel non-believers with makes me sick and dizzy. Now they're beating on John Edwards.
Reading all this castigation of John Edwards, I find it's kind of comical how these objections to John Edwards being in any kind of king (or queen) making position, don't translate into any kind of realization that their hero Obama nevertheless went crawling to Edwards for Edwards' blessing. Nope, Obama wasn't above crawling, now was he? So it must have been worth something to Obama, even if it isn't to his supporters.
I didn't say a word about Clinton -- YOU DID. You dragged Hillary Clinton in my discussion that wasn't about her at all. I was only discussing Obama and Edwards.
But you provided my point that Obama supporters can't support Obama without tearing somebody else down.
There is no need to elaborate beyond that.
When Joan cited the other article, I hear...
crickets
I'm glad to see you're still standing despite the regular, predictable, tiresome barrage from certain ever ready to be stirred up Obama supporters. It's pretty obvious that the fact that YOU'RE a woman who dares to speak up against the Obama machine subjects you to the EXACT same kind of misogyny they direct at Hillary. Which tends to prove your point.
No way is this for real.
I didn't say I don't believe things like this happen. I'm aware that plenty of people are steeped in this kind of superstition. I said this letter reads like a parody, and I believe it is a total crock. The bit about the LW doing all the cooking, cleaning, etc., pushed it too far over the top.
Just because Bush sucks even MORE doesn't mean Reagan didn't completely suck. Bush is just proof that no matter how bad something (Reagan) is, it can always be worse in a way you never could imagine until it happens. By the same token, there is somebody out there who is even worse than Bush. That doesn't mean there is ANYTHING good to say about Bush. And there is NOTHING good to say about Reagan. He pulled the rug out from under the U.S. Bush has now ripped out the floor. That doesn't mean there is no lower to go.
She sounds like the kind of brain dead idiot who would decide that that was the next logical step in this poignant romance.
Among other things.
I think aligning yourself with the likes of Bob Barr does a terrible disservice to your cause.
You always get bashed for not being a true believer Obama cheerleader, so I'll be glad to take some of the heat off you.
I think Obama is a terribly lame candidate who brings very little to the table except high flown rhetoric he doesn't even write himself, and I want more in a candidate than somebody who talks a good game. Obama's vote on the FISA bill, and his incredibly lame and disingenuous (a word he likes) response to the fallout, was a dead giveaway that Obama is just another double-talking politician. And Obama's lackadaisical response to McCain's untiring attacks -- even wimpily calling McCain an honorable man -- are John Kerry 2.0.
If he won't do it, then Obama needs a highpowered VP who isn't afraid to go on the attack against McCain, AND who isn't afraid of conservatives. That person, for me, despite her flaws, is Hillary Clinton. If Obama gets elected, and god forbid anything happens to him, I don't want the next president to be Evan Bayh or Tim Kaine or Sam Nunn. If it can't be Hillary Clinton I'd go with Joe Biden, but he has already run for the nomination enough times without getting near it that it's clear Joe Biden is NOT whom most people really want.
Hillary Clinton's performance in the primaries demonstrate that she IS the candidate Democrats want most, after Obama himself. That is simply a fact. If he doesn't choose her, than Obama is cutting off his nose to spite his face.
Talk is cheap. Obama won't do a fucking thing beyond that - if he does that much - to bring them to justice if he gets elected. And I believe that will cost him re-election.
Yes. That's exactly what Ford did for Nixon -- pardoned him in advance.
If you do nothing wrong with that.
But I don't and I doubt I'm the only one, so please stop with the all-inclusive WE.
I couldn't care less about the Olympics.
I'm not watching the Olympics.
The Olympics have absolutely nothing to do with my life.
I have other interests and other things that inspire me. But the Olympics have never done a thing for me.
It demeans Salon to waste space on this person.
We are doomed.
I am LOVING it.
It's the readers who, day in and day out, really do his job for him.
Never was it more obvious than in this column.
I hope to GOD I never have you as my doctor for anything.
You sound like you would rather be doing ANYTHING else.
Does her obsession about societal evils traced to unwed mothers extend to conservative Republican daughter/unwed mom Bristol Palin?
Matt "I'm GLAD you're back" Lauer missed the boat on that one.
Not much of a Lauer fan either; he gave Kitty Kelly an even harder time than he gave the vile psychotic Coulter when he interviewed Kelly about her Bush family biography. Hopefully he smashed his fist into a very unforgiving wall after this interview.
Thanks, Joan.
That made me want to go to that church, and I'm a nonbeliever.
