The Democrats should never have allowed and encouraged Lamont in 2006. That idiocy was the original sin. Naturally an angry Lieberman wanted revenge and called the party's bluff. It would have been idiotic to discard a powerful and safe Senate seat and feed the GOP; at the same time, the "pardon" is embarrassing. This is what happens when you take a shot at a king and miss. I think the party made the right decision.
Being the President's wife is not an office. A First Lady should not be treated like a personage in her own right.
