  • I too am anti-illegal immigration

[Read the article: Congress to New York (and Chicago and L.A.): Drop dead]

I understand why people come here, and I do have some compassion for them. But, is it intelligent to ignore my rights as a citizen of the US who obeys the law to give a free pass to people who are not citizens and ignore the laws of the US? It doesn't make sense to me to see someone who comes to the US to get a job not to be a US citizen. I want the people who want to be citizens and follow US laws. I don't want the people who ignore our laws for their personal gain. (normally I see such people as Republicans)

No American city should be sheltering criminals of any kind. And, anyone in the US illegally is a criminal, by definition. It isn't just illegal immigrants that are culpable. The people who hire undocumented workers are part of the problem. I recommend that if we were to go after the employers breaking the laws, then the illegal immigrant problem would be reduced.

Then, we could have a guest worker program where people could come to the US legally, maybe become citizens, and gain some enforcable rights in the workforce.

  • Up to you

[Read the article: Lonely single guy tired of being lonely and single seeks person ]

I am 39 and single. I have been effectively single for my whole life. It does get lonely. But, if you objective is to be a couple, there are often woman out there for you. They may not be someone you find attractive, but you objective seems to be to have a partner.

I have choice, and I choose to be single rather than settle for less that I want. If I am single for the rest of my life, then so be it.
