The late, great Molly Ivins wrote this seminal take-down of Camille Paglia nearly 18 years ago:

Every syllable is just as true today.
I find it disturbing that she's gaining traction as a generic, go-to women's rights advocate. She was a leading light in the laughably ineffective PUMA movement during the primaries.
Though she deserves credit for having enough media savvy to dump those losers when they went completely off the rails, the "agenda" part of The New Agenda (Siskind's supposedly non-partisan women's issues group) is all Obama-bashing, all the time while simultaneously fluffing anti-choice, Christianist troglodytes like Palin and Bachmann.
Seriously, Siskind co-founded The New Agenda with Harriet "Inadequate Black Male" Christian of YouTube fame and cross-posts at Larry "Whitey Tape" Johnson's No Quarter hate site. She no more merits a voice on "women's issues" than Birfer Queen Orly Taitz.
Brava!

I'm a University of Florida alum, which means I hate FSU with the white hot heat of 10,000 supernovas. I would root for the Taliban over FSU. But even I can't find the alleged sexism or latent homophobia on that site. Plenty of gritty, sweaty athlete shots, a few glam photos to show both sides. The dudes on Florida's football team wear fancy-schmancy suits to the locker room prior to the games. So what?
