I have never really cared about celeb gossip, but what hooked me was Amy Reiter's witty writing. (Madonna and Guy Ritchie exchanged toilet paper rolls during their wedding. I shit you not.) I've missed that for a long time. If you can't provide that caliber, you are right to discontinue. Where is Amy now?
Men I have talked to about this subject often site "the point of no return" when arguing a case like Maryland's. My response is, O.K., so once you've said yes, I can get out the chain saw! How would they respond if they discovered their partner wasn't a woman or was into something they found scary? Each step of the way is negotiable!
Hayao Miyazaki, whom John Lasseter of Pixar greatly admires, often feature strong female characters. Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and for the older kids, Princess Mononoke are wonderful choices for mothers of girls.
