does not bode well if Obama gets the nomination. If you think the Clintons have been rough on him, just wait until the Repug machine gets all geared up. A less paranoid, more pragmatic attitude would serve all you Obama fans much better than all this endless parsing and whining.
I can hardly believe you're a lifelong Democrat if you can so easily let the mainstream media's Clinton hatred spin you so furiously that you're willing to label the only two-term Dem president since WWII as the new David Duke. Fair-weather fan, is what I call you. Go join the Repugs!
I still don't see what you're on about. Over-sensitive, sure, but also paranoid--you seem to be searching for some reason to be furious, strewing around scare quotes, parsing meaningless distinctions. It seems as if you *want* an enemy even when you don't have one, so you're willing to make one up. That's classic paranoia. I hope this sort of thinking isn't affecting Obama's campaign, because it won't make for good strategic planning.
A bunch of cowards, seems to me.
Wow, you're angry, aren't you? You're also wrong, but that's not surprising. It's easy to be wrong when you're blinded by paranoia. Nothing you said disproves anything I said--all it proves is that you're itching for a fight for some reason, and you'll pick the silliest points to rant about.
think all this bitching and moaning is helping your candidate, I'm fairly sure he'd personally tell you you're wrong. To his credit, he seems saner about these issues than his supporters, who can be sent into a frenzy over nothing at all.
I assumed that most of the whiners here were white because blacks can approach these issues in a saner fashion. Certainly Obama himself has. It *is* interesting that you don't say whether you are white or black. My mother is black and my father is white, just to put my cards on the table.
Definitely anti-Obama and anti-Hillary. But who cares? This isn't a sports game where you root for your team, is it? And *I* seem angry? It's all of you Obama supporters who are ranting and raving. My god, you're a touchy crowd.
are going to be Obama's undoing. By seeming so eager to police the race issue for him, to ferret out the merest whiff of race-baiting, they seriously compromise his message of transcending the politics of the 1960s. I'm sure if Obama could speak to you now he'd tell you all to chill.
when you stop posting anonymously.
Don't let these bozos spin you!
My mom IS sane and my dad IS a dumb redneck, in case you're really interested. But both of them can spot a fake frenzy when they see one, and that's what this debate is. Chill out, brother.
Are you calling me an angry black man? Trying to race-bait me? How DARE you! Next you'll be comparing me to (gasp!) Jesse Jackson!
Damn, and all I wanted to do today was impress you! Who cares.
How about debating my points instead of responding with anger? Isn't it really *your* motives you ought to be worried about?
I missed Glenn's point. You're right. I did. If he had a point, which I doubt. Enjoy your bitch-fest over nothing. It's time to go back to the real world.
Thrasher wrote: "Hillary, Kerry, Edwards simply do not have what it takes to take our country into this new world order.. White voters have now turned the corner it is therefore critical now that Obama show more assertive and agressive leadership moments, he has convinced White voters a Black man with passion and grit is not to be feared but followed..."
This is the kind of rhetoric from Obama supporters that scares me. They want a Leader, someone who will help them build the New World Order. I just want a competent President who can keep the country relatively safe and prosperous. I guess some people want more from their politicians than others. But I definitely don't want to be LED anywhere by anyone. That's Rudy Giuliani rhetoric.
This passage is also condescending to white voters, but what else can we expect from Thrasher?
Let your post speak for itself. You're not helping your cause by wading into this feedback frenzy. Just sounds like a lot of post-hoc rationalizing.
And it's folks like you that threaten our future. Your longing for a leader is sad and frightening. But then, I guess you DO need to be led. Some folks do.
has precisely nine days of shelf-life left. After Super Tuesday, the handwriting will be on the wall. Sad but true for you true believers. And I suspect at that point the Obama campaign will be doing everything it can to make kissy noises towards the Clintons--he's a shrewd pol and knows which side his bread is buttered on, no matter how naive and fanatical his supporters might be.
Enjoy the next nine days!
