You get it or you don't with Obama

That is so true. Either you can see with stark crystal clarity the landslide shellacking John McCain will give him in November or you don't.

Obama is ahead, YellowDogDem

but he's been exposed for the loser he is. The superdels can stick with him and send their party down the crapper. Which would be more than fine with me.

Besides, YellowDogDem, why do you think the Dems even HAVE superdels?

It's to protect the party from losers like Obama.

Wrong, YellowDogDem

Obama is a loser and he WILL lose. I can sense the desperation in your post. You know it too. You're already looking for someone to blame when McCain rips his liver out.

Wow, TRenee, you certainly have an inflated sense of your own importance

Maybe Dems should only let you vote in their primaries.

But she's exposing all the weaknesses of your "inevitable" candidate, Xrandadu Hutman

She's showing why he can't win the states that matter in November. She's doing your party a service. I don't expect you Dems to be smart enough to see it, though. Which is a good thing.

hey rufus, why don't you find a pastime

Do what others like you do--scratch some fleas, drink out of the toilet, that sort of thing. Enjoy!

Hey, rufus, take your own advice and ignore me, okay?

You're wasting your time, as you just said. But I guess you must have a lot of time to waste, huh?

Don't expect Tom Payne to pay close attention

where he sprays his bile. He has no control over the ducts--it just comes out. If you're in the way, you get splattered. He is also a worthless, savage idiot, but that's a separate problem.

How convenient for you affluent Netheads, girlinflux

Maybe Obama ought to consider that the working class voters who are rejecting him don't have your comfortable sense of privilege and would like to hear him talk about his policies a bit...?

@Droogoy

"Incidentally, the fact that Obie could blow all the remaining primries and still have the edge in numbers at the end, shows how whacked out the Dems' primary methodology of fractional delegate allocation is."

You ain't kidding, Droogoy. But that's not the only thing that's whacked. What's whacked is a party that, if it had the good sense just to nominate someone like John Edwards or Al Gore, would win in November with resounding margins in both Houses, but instead decides to back a pair of horribly flawed "historical" possibilities.

Hey, Michelle, what happened to my b*lls?

From today's NY Times:

For Madeline Kunin, a former governor of Vermont and a Clinton supporter, her candidate’s Pennsylvania victory had a ring of feminist triumph. “It’s unexpected that she has won the toughness battle, and people are looking at Obama and questioning whether he’s tough enough,” she said. Usually, “any man, by nature of his gender, is considered tough enough, but this has been reversed or turned on its head.”

Baloo, you are a horrible person. HORRIBLE

SUPER-HORRIBLE! You ridiculous mewling clown. Clinton eviscerated your boy last night, ripped hls b*lls off and put 'em in her pocket. She's exposed him as the loser he is. And he will lose, hard. It will be HORRIBLE!

MaddieP, are you okay? having some sort of flashback, are you?

“He broke every spending record in this state trying to knock us out of this race,” she said. “Well, the people of Pennsylvania had other ideas.”

I love the twisty sophistry the Obama supporters have to come up with

to try and deal with the simple fact that a well-funded front-runner with every seeming advantage, including supposedly the fact that he has essentially sewn up the nomination, keeps losing crucial primaries by wide margins. His mutli-million ad buys, his whistle-stop tours, his packed-to-the-rafter rallies all look bright and showy and powerful, and then there comes that little unfortunate detail: Democratic voters actually vote against him.

Every one of these losses is a body blow, and the Obama campaign knows it. Keep spinning, folks, while Obama spins his wheels.

@HP

"Cytherea, maybe we should just only nominate white men - since they are the safe choice. Right? Because that seems to be what you believe. And we used to do better in the South before civil rights, so let's rescind that and get the Southern Dems back. And Dems won all the time before women had the right to vote, so let's roll that back. Maybe even bring back the property requirement. Sound reasonable?"

Except towards the end it does. The first sentence is totally correct, at least at this moment in time. But why play it safe? Roll the dice and see what it brings you. And watch the working-class whites, Catholics, older voters, and Latinos flock to McCain. But hey, you don't need them to win any more, right? You've got a whole new metric. Fired-up college kids and BMW-driving liberal elites will join up with African-American voters and change the face of politics forever.

As the Mamas and the Papas once sang, "Dreeaaamm, Dream, Dream, Dream...."
