Obama has destroyed himself
[Read the article: Obama and the white working class]

-
@Torus
[Read the article: Obama and the white working class]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What Obama said had nothing to do with the "real feelings' of PA workers. He was trying to psychoanalyze them in order to explain away what they *take to be* their real feelings (about faith, guns, etc.) in terms of economically-inspired bitterness. In other words, he doesn't case about their real feelings because these are just "false consciousness." I'm sure the limosine liberals in SanFran listening to him nodded sagely at his comments. But he is doomed by these words. This is the end. And it IS wonderful!
-
Ah, Tom Payne, your bitterness is sweet to me
[Read the article: Obama and the white working class]

The rest of us will laugh with savage joy.
-
Poor Tom Payne, so bloated with impotent rage
[Read the article: Obama and the white working class]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]as you watch your candidate implode, caving in like a house of cards. It is fun to hear you rant because every word you spit is proof of the slow grim demise of your beloved Obama. Rage rage against the dying of the light, you sad little clown of a man.

It is all he CAN do, luminesce
[Read the article: Obama and the white working class]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If it weren't Obama it would be some other convenient obsessions that allows him to spout his rage. Let him spout, his candidate shot both his own feet off--he's fallen and he can't get up.
-
Manos99, Villemar, and Tom Payne are all the same creature
[Read the article: Obama and the white working class]

What if they don't think they're being exploited, Jerm
[Read the article: Obama and the white working class]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and resent you for implying that their "values" are illusions foisted on them by manipulative rightwing goons?
-
The issue isn't whether working folks are bitter about a bad economy
[Read the article: Obama and the white working class]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The issue is whether they are "clinging" to compensatory fantasies and delusions, religious and cultural, to avoid dealing with the reality of their situation. This is what Obama said, and you know it. Maybe you believe it. Maybe it's even true. But it is a political DISASTER of epic proportions to say it.

Your words smell
and are brainless.
You are also villemar and Tom Payne, as Saurez has also sniffed out. There is a room in hell where demons will piss acid in your face forever.
-
You can smell the stench of desperation on Obama now
[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]He knows he's destroyed himself with his elitist and out-of-touch comments. He's going to lose PA by 14 points despite pouring millions upon millions into the state. The superdels will quickly sour on him. He's headed down the crapper, swiftly swirling the bowl. Isn't it great?!
-
Gotta love how the letter writers
[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]are just proving the point of the article over and over.
-
Clinton ought to pay Manos for proving
[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]what savage vile and corrupt little sexists Obama's core boylovers are.
-
Obama is such a slick liar
[Read the article: Clinton, Obama, and the forum on faith]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Trying to convince people he wasn't dissing religion in his "bitter" comments, but just saying that, in economic hard times, folks turn to the spiritual bulwarks in their lives for support. In other words, he claims he was *praising* their religious feelings. So I guess "antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment" are also positive spiritual bulwarks they can turn to in hard times, because he listed those too in his now infamous little chat to some SanFran fat cats. He has been caught saying what he truly thinks, when he thought the public wouldn't hear, and now he is doomed, doomed, doomed.
-
@sslash
[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How about if you begin by boycotting the letters columns, hm? No one will miss you. Have fun with your advertiser boycott. LMAO.

[Read the article: Hey, Obama boys: Back off already!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"mindless Obama automatons" is redundant.
-
Saintzak, that's more or less what Obama DID say
[Read the article: Clinton, Obama, and the forum on faith]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]but he said it to a bunch of West Coast liberal elitists, and now he's desperately trying to spin his way out of it. I wish he had the courage to say now, yeah, I said religion was a crutch for people in hard times, and I meant it. It would be the end of him, thank goodness.
-
Talk about substance-free posts, mrclownboy
[Read the article: Clinton, Obama, and the forum on faith]
