I am going to sound more in agreement with Pat; but, I believe we are in a backhanded personality cult. The issue is not the legacy of these men and an enabling woman. Or is it about the feelngs of Carter for the bunker chief. It is that we have adopted policies that are supporting preemptive war, creating "show" democracies, developing war and national security policy in coordination with nations and corporations that act in conflict with our constitutional rights and laws, appling human rights selectively and denying the value of character and integrity in policy formation.

Like could Obama be let to display the culture of his mother and ride in the parade that European ethnic. Jeter the Yankee, I believe is half Irish and has the right to all the Celtic culture as I do. We are a country of halves.

Let's push for Sarbanes Oxley certifications (like CEOs must issue and be personally liable for when seeking our 401ks) on 200Billion War Supporting Supplemental Requests and Congressional Assessments by Secretaries, Presidents (Real and Bush)and General who promise great results in 12-18 months. (Bet applying Sarbanes Oxley to religious donations and their management would distract even a friend of Rudy from bad behaviour.)

Why haven't we (the Congress) considered imposing integrity on these Defense appropriation requests and supplemental, especially this current $200 Billion, by insisting the Secretary or OMB Director certify the accuracy and assemblage methodology under terms no less stringent than those imposed on a CEO and Board of Director in a publicly traded company by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and its section 404? If we are so firm about preserving the 401k, why not the same for our lives, honor, fortune and given the horizon of this conflict, our heirs?

It would not be another layer of oversight but a reform to keep our process of public investment determination equal to that of the integrity of the private investment decision review process. It would also be a method to engage this debate which the zealots of both sides would avoid attacking.

Believe the quote on "just tons of speculation" should cause an investigation of the patriotism of Ms Perino. This is the first public release of the internal assessment by a senior White House official on what its takes to cause 1)a herd of the buffaloed (or if you are a new testament reader - a flock of devil invested swine, ie, christian conservatives or the Fox Noise Department), 2) a fully in session Congress and 3) every active duty General or Admiral to rush to and jump into a precipice with only their lives in the case of the buffaloed and whatever self respect and treasures they have in the case of the Congress and Senior Military.
