I just watched Joan on Hardball make the same arguments. Chris makes it clear, and I cannot really remember him making it this clear and Joan had something to do with this, that w along with dicky were ready to invade Iraq the first day they got into office. None of this crap: some contend that w had made the decision to invade.....or some have stated that w might have wanted to invade Iraq prior to 9/11/01....or some have stated that there really are WMD's in Iraq and we just have not....

None of that crap. Joan was clear and concise and ready to proclaim that all the intelligence was cherry picked, that Cheney was right there looking over the shoulders of 'analysts' (what the hell does that mean anyway)and that w had just proceeded to lie through the entire interview with Charly G.

You know, trees do not make any sound when they fall in the forest unless the sound is recorded and reproduced for cable news. Every time I see Joan on that screen, I know my voice is going to be heard.

GOOD JOB. KEEP ON TRUCKIN.

We need reps on our side. We would need them anyway. Again, the two fine ladies from Maine, Senator Spector from Penn... You are going to get a Senator like Lugar on some legislation and, yes, Senator McCain. Obama has at least campaigned on some important realignment reassessment of issue. A new perspective.

ABORTION: Everybody hates abortion. The mother who is facing death and the fetus would most likely not survive anyway. The teen who has been raped by her father, uncle or next door neighbor. etc. etc. etc. They all hate abortion. They hate the crime of rape that was perpetrated on them. They hate possible death.

GUNS: The NRA won. But do you really want surface to air missiles in urban areas?

GOD IN SCHOOLS: Do you really want teachers saying to the children: THERE IS NO GOD? Do you really want teachers telling their Jewish students to step outside while they give a special message to the other students? Do you really want a Roman Catholic Priest to come into the 5th grade classroom and read from their prayer book every week?

FRED FLINSTONE BIOLOGISTS: Does anyone really want anti evolutionists deciding what our children should be taught in biology classes? There really are Fred Flinstone museums in this country.

We have let fascists, rephrase issues in this country too long. This is a propaganda war. Those two erudite and reasonable Senators from Maine, must be wooed and spoken to. They have ideas too. And Senator Spector can read and write unlike that baseball player from Kentucky.

This situation will keep us sharp. However, as a Minnesotan I do wish to hear these words real soon:

Hi, and I'm Senator Al Franken. And Hi, I'm Al Franken, Senator from Minnesota......

And in 2010, there are 19 senators up for reelection who are republicans. And fewer Dems up for election. We can always hope but I am no member of any organized political party, I am a Democrat.

There should be solid gold statues dedicated to the real people who made this nation like Chief Justice Taney, John C. Calhoun, Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, Strom Thurmond, President Buchanan, President Pierce....And do not forget those protestant preachers who supported the institution of slavery by citing biblical teachings, mostly from the Old Testament or those great protestant preachers citing biblical teachings to support the institution of Segregation and condemn "mingling of the races", and what about those preachers today who write books entitled: 'Jesus as the New Corporate CEO' or great books by Bennett (he sure writes a lot for a guy that likes one armed bandits and sandwiches) who really contends that that poor people are poor because they have refused to accept Jesus in their lives.

You know Keith, sometime last week said something like:

"Do you know what Billo, and Hannity the Mannitu, and the comedian Rush Limbaugh said yesterday? Ah, who cares. Nobody is listening anyway."

Who cares what South Carolina thinks anymore. They voted for Secession twice and all the sane Carolinians moved north and now vote for Democrats.

Anti-Obama Fringe to Descend Upon Supreme Court Tomorrow

The justices of the U.S. Supreme Court will tomorrow discuss whether or not it should take up the case of Leo C. Donofrio, Applicant, v. Nina Mitchell Wells, New Jersey Secretary of State, a case that challenges the citizenship of President-elect Obama.

After the Justices meet -- and assuredly decline to hear the matter -- the anti-Obama activists supporting the case will hold a vigil near the steps of the highest Court in the land.

The story says that Clarence Thomas called the meeting-so to speak. It only takes one Justice to bring up a case for possible consideration. Keyes is one of the plaintiffs pushing for this crap.

I know I shouldn't address conspiracy theorists but

There is no void ab initio provision in the Constitution and idiots will argue this, but forget it.

Here is guy, with one major, major mistake, who has tried to do the right thing his entire life. There would be no Democratic Party without him.

Fighting against discrimination, fighting for workers' rights, fighting for health coverage for all Americans, fighting for those who do not have hope, assets or housing.

I hope he really is going to survive. He does not need to be a chairman of any committee. He will always be heard and his opinion requested as long as he sits in the Senate.

He could have sailed, given speeches, written books...anything he wanted. He certainly never needed his salary in the U.S. Senate.

God I hope and pray he gets over this illness and lives to fight another day.
